Since I move here from California I have made the trip 24 times (up to four times in a year). I-40 is by far the shortest and fastest. I-20 to Birmingham then Highway 78 to Jasper, Alabama. Last week I was going south on 92 in Hiram just before the park, when I heard sirens coming up behind me. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw cars pulling over, which I did too. Diversity has no place in the military, General Casey should have learned that in basic training. Adding 10 minutes to the school day is simply ridiculous. Lets say the student has five different subjects a day. How much do you think they will actually learn in the extra 2 minutes, per subject?

Only in Georgia will they stop for a funeral procession. But refuse to stop (or even yield) for an ambulance. How does that make any sense. The person in the hearse can not be helped by getting to the cemetary a few minutes sooner. However, the person in the ambulance (or to whom the ambulance is responding) my be helped if the ambulance arrives sooner. Myself I stop for both!
