  1. Yeah, if you are talking about at your house, I def agree- when I go down the hill on Hiram Sudie after the entrance to your subdivision, I lose whomever I was talking to, and also on corner of HS and 61 by McD..... And call me crazy, but I HATED my droid- got rid of it after 3 weeks of misery. Went back to my old fahioned clamshell cellphone. If I want all that junk, I will carry a Netbook around....
  2. I drive as part of my job. I go from home to home working for clients. No public transporatation is going to bring me from home to home all day.
  3. Reality vs. The idealistic once again rears its head on pcom! In an ideal world, those things would take place. Unfortunately, that is not reality. Examining what our current options are in a nation where driving a vehicle is not going to disappear, we need to do the best we can for the circumstances we have. This may mean curtailing some travel, carpooling more, combining commutes to work with errands. Some people may choose to move to city and use public transportation. If you believe in that, that is what you ought to do. Some people will buy smaller cars. Some people may drive the same lar
  4. OH PLEASE - let the mile and a half be accurate!!!!!!!
  5. I have a cable wire hanging down into my driveway since the morning after the storm last week. We have ATT, but nothing was affected either with computer, phone, or tv. However, today is the first day they said they would be able to come look at it.
  6. I heard the White Oak Park trail was 3/4 mile- I would love it to be more!!
  7. maggots, bizzaro, clogged, funk ( as in the sink is clogged and the drain has all this slimy funk in there ), retch, gag, crawly.....
  8. the phrase "eye socket" (~~~shiver~~~) I have a THING about eye injuries- I will faint if I see one ...and that phrase makes my knees wobbly because it always has to do with discussing injury to or surgery on an eye......
  9. Not as intense now- the worst of it, I think, has passed by us....
  10. Mods please close topic- plans made and offer closed!
  11. I am a longtime fan of hers. She will be in ATL one night only.
  12. To be totally honest, I have a brand spanking new cpap machine, never used it once, in its case, with all the stuff that goes with it. It is a full mask one. I did the sleep disorder testing two years ago,( Douglasville ) I do have sleep apnea. There is no way I will put that on my face- I have claustrophobia, so that sits in the closet. oh well.
  13. I feel that everyone is so "wound up" about everything ( even those who say they are laid back and dont stress anything ) that its pretty easy to set someone off like a match. Thank our society of all news all the time, all alerts all the time, talk radio, magazines, cell phones, text mesaging, internet, etc, etc. Differing opinions become a nasty go round.
  14. I would rather clean 10 toilets than listen to Michael Moore talk...
  15. The android I purchased two weeks ago ( Samsung Transform ) was crappy. Slow to load, dropped calls, pages changing by themselves, not easy to use at all. I simply hated it from the first night I had it home. So today I went and exchanged it for the classic. Sorry, but I love my little pocket flip phone! I dont do alot of stuff on the internet from my phone, mostly just casual browsing, which I can do with this phone, and texting. So now I am a happy camper again!
  16. I have a lot to say about a lot of things. But I keep my mouth closed for the most part.
  17. Clear to see this is the MANIC phase of Manic Depression. Textbook.
  18. I drive a small SUV, still get crappy gas mileage, because it is quite heavy. I am beginning to get ready to trade it in. It seems as though sometimes on the road I am noticing more cars than SUV's lately, but that may just be that certain instance, not the real situation around here. I was shocked ( now used to it) the amount of BIG rig SUV's ( Yukons, Excursions, etc ) when I moved here in '06. When I sat in the line at the elementary school to pick up my daughter back then, it just seemed like a entire line of massive SUVs. I know the trend in the past couple years has been to car-based SUV
  19. I bought it last fall thinking it was crimson clover...
  20. you had better PM me. You live directly behind me AND WE NEED TO TALK NOW.
  21. This is not about having the infant at work, this is about a place to use a breast pump to collect the milk for the infant. Very interesting topic- fraught with possible litigation in regards to either direction, and things that may happen. Is the employer then required to provide a sanitary refrigeration set up for the collected breastmilk? And would somebody feel comfortable enough to leave the breastmilk in an unsupervised area? I am just throwing things out there to see..
