When the GOVT really did shut down back in 1995 we still got our paycks. When this was going on last time 2012, the military wasn't going to get paid USAA and Navy Fed said they would go ahead and put our money in OUR accounts because they knew the knew the GOVT was good for the money. I thought that was a nice thing for them to offer even though it ended up not happening anyway. You know what they are teaching my son down here in the GA schools? That Romney's plan is basically the same thing that Obama Care is

They said on the news tonight that it would cost the taxpayers more money per day during a GOVT shutdown and guess what???? Congress still gets PAID

At PAX they are GS jobs that start at GS-5. Most of the guards are Military. Many of them aren't MP's either they send so many people per command to do this extra duty. At PAX say you were a civilian coming on for a job interview. The person doing the interview would have to meet them at the gate and escort them in. Seems security is a little more tight there, guess it is due to being close to DC.....

Interesting that they didn't ask you for a ID. They do random searches in PAX. I guess the attitude is that if you are military or DOD or Contractor you are to be trusted and would never hurt anyone. Which sadly isn't true anymore.........................

My 12 year old daughter and 17 year old son say she's acting TRASHY. I ck'd out the video yesterday and I actually like the song. When did they stop using base stickers at Camp Lejeune? Pax is going to stop next year from what I was told. The security at my DH old squadron was a joke..They didn't even stop to look at you when you were going thru the gate to get to the flight line. Unreal....That was a waste of GOVT money for their jobs. I don't remember going thru the other side, just Dobbins....I thought NAS Atlanta was gone and the Army Nat Guard took it over?

I'm content...But I find it hard to not think of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ all of the time due to the fact my youngest son will be going to college in the fall and my daughter needs braces then she will be off to college. Gotta make MONEY to pay the bills...... Guess I am more of a realist.

To get a base sticker you have to prove you have insurance. If they waved you thru without cking your ID they were in the WRONG. That was the big reason for wanting to get rid of the base stickers, they ck your ID anyway and it will save money. The AirForce started it and the other bases are following along. They already do random searches on vehicles and civilian businesses that come on base with trucks they do a bomb ck on them. At PAX they must ck ID/CAC on the front and back and take the ID from you. He was FTR which was called TAR years ago. They are full time and they help train the week-end warriors. They can deploy overseas not sure if he did or not.

Because he wasn't hired by the Navy...He was hired by a private company that has a CONTRACT with the Navy. I am sure the company knew nothing of his Mental Illness. When you are a GS you are hired by the GOVT not when you are a Contractor.

NO it is hit or miss with me. Last year I didn't get one and I probably won't this year either. I want the shingles shot but I'm to young to get it. I need to get the tetanus but after seeing how bad it hurt my daughter who had to get it for school here in GA...According to her DR... I'm scared now! The guy was 34 so he was 22 when 911 happened. If you have ever been arrested believe me they run a back ground ck on you and will find out. If you are lying no way will they let you in. Automatic dismissal.

He had clearance to go on the base because he had a Contractor job. You don't even have to be in the military, just have an ID card. Spouses and kids can get into squadrons and on base just by having that. I can get people on base just by having them in my car. What bums me is that they are getting away from base stickers on your vehicles and just going to look at your ID card. I really think that is a bad idea.

The Navy had nothing to do with it. He was a Civilian Contractor. No one knew of his Mental Illness, he was being treated after he got out of the service by the VA....Which it seems let him fall thru the cracks Because he probably had a secret clearance while in the Navy and they are good for 10 years. The civilian company probably didn't run a ck and just made it active again.

When I was tested years ago I was shown to have a mild mold allergy. Funny thing here in ATL it seems like the SMOG is what gets me and in MD it was when it rained I felt the worst...due to the mold. ATL I love it when it rains, clears the air out for me. But that could explain the sore throat.
