For what it's worth, I find it fascinating to get insight into the way that other people live their lives. What interests me is the underlying life-philosophy in terms of quality of life. There seems to be value in the frugality experience, where the frugal couple finds enjoyment in not spending money. The enjoyment of the achievement, in terms of the pride of working together is at least equal to the enjoyment that they would have received from the enjoyment of the creature-comforts that cost money. I think that "Seminole Wind" is a great country song. Sure "Swingin'" was a gimmick-success of a pop variety, but the elements of country, are still there. There's a slice of country life, "rolling up a garden hose/cutting chicken up to fry", swingin' on the front porch -- that's still country, IMO.
