  1. I grew up in Albany and have always done that too. I explained it to my wife who is from Oregon. She said they never stop out there. Most funeral processions don't even have police. Anyway, I was always taught to stop. I don't get out anymore because I don't want to get killed on these metro area roads, but I will always stop as soon as safely possible.
  2. Hiram Animal Hospital turned me on to Vetra 3D. I covers fleas and ticks and is a bit cheaper than the others. It has a nozzle on it to get down in the hair of long hair dogs. I've been using it for about six months now with no complaints.

  4. Both of our running backs went to Oregon State... My wife will like that as that she graduated from there...
  5. I have the T3 as mypersonal camera and the 60D as my work camera (in a crime scene unit). The T3 is more than enough camera for personal use. If my department gave it to me for work, it would still be great for that too. The camera is strong, clear, and has most of the features an intermediate photographer would want. I would buy a good flash for it- I use a Vivitar flash that works as well as my Canon flash for my 60D. Other than that, it should be a great camera for you.
  6. Here's a Georgia law a lot folks don't seem to know about: You must use your turn signal when you make a turn or change lanes!!! Okay' I'm off my soap box...
  7. I agree... SW Georgia does it SC style. I WISH someone up here would cook it this way.
  8. Albany... Dougherty County... I grew up in the county, not the city...
  9. I was in a movie once in Hiram. Then I realized I was standing on top of an open DVD case on the floor... (crickets....)
  10. I'm from South GA originally and am really picky about BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I judge BBQ by their pulled pork and of course, the sauce. It was an odd sauce in my book, but oddly good. This will be my new place as long as they are consistent. I have seen places that are good one day and mediocre or bad the next. As of my first try of this place, I'd give it two thumbs up...
  11. You have to do what's best for you. Online can be as good as regular course...it just depends on the work you put in to it. I would check in to online courses from a brick and mortars school personally, not an online only school. I got my masters this way and it was tougher than my bachelorsmdegree actually sitting in class. This is mainly from how I learn: it is easier for me to absorb class work from a lecture than having to read. Dont let folk say online is crap because they are old fashioned and just dont beleive in it. Just like in class: if you dont apply yourself, you wont learn anythin
  12. Ive been a cop for 14 years here in Georgia and in Oregon. You can plead to most anything as long as the court and prosecution and defense all agree to the circumstances. I've seen all sorts of sex rrimes be plead down to non sexual offenses so the suspect isn't on the registry. The prosecution thinks it saves money and the defense doesn't have their client with the chance of jail time and being on the registry. It's a win win for all involved except for the victim of the crime.
  13. I have run into that a few times. If you press the reset button on all the involved DVRs it should work. You may possibly have to unplug and plug your modem/ router back in, but the reset button (flip down door on the front right side of your DVR and press the red button) should do the trick!
  14. I have to third this... I read about him on here and was greatly satisfied. Not only is he and his wife really nice, his work was great. I had to have some sensors put into my car dealing with emissions. I bought them myself, but couldn't put them all in. Other places were going to charge me a few hundred to put it in after their having to assess my car, etc. Marotti stated he would do it for $85 and still looked to be sure we were doing the right thing for the problem I was having. I never met him and his wife ever in my life. I went to pick it up and stayed and talked to them for over an hou
  15. The closest I'll ever get to seeing Harrison Ford is driving by Harrison High School and seeing a Ford car in the parking lot...
  16. I'm praying for your father too...
  17. I'd rather hear the sound of frogs than my neighbor's booming base of his car stereo as he pulls up or leaves.
  18. I don't post hardly on here at all, but as an officer in the Marietta/ Cobb County area (I live in Paulding though), we have been seeing alot of home burglaries. These burglaries come after the cars parked in the resident's own driveway was broken in to. The burglar would get the garage door opener out of the car, open the garage, and proceed to burglarize the house. Sometime they find the car keys in the house and use the victim's own car to transport the stolen goods, etc. My advice is: 1. If you have to park in your yard, take your garage door opener in with you (or at least hide
  19. The "can't cross the chalk line" thing sounds like GA Tech when they played Georgia last year in football! They couldn't cross into the end zone often enough! Goooo Dawgs!
  20. I am in Law Enforcement in the Marietta area. We had to deal with these calls ALL the time and they usually last for several weeks until we can run them off. I know most everyone are good people on here and don't like to call the police, but I highly suggest you do. While I know some people are trying to do legit businesses, but the ones we have been running into have been casing homes for future burglaries or will insist/ makeup a reason to enter your home, distract you (usually by wanting to use your bathroom) and steal small items (usually medication). We have found their businesses to be f
  21. I'm sure whatever the guy was doing to be chased put alot of innocent folks at risk or else he wouldn't need to be chased. If Hiram PD didn't chase him then folks would be complaining Hiram does nothing to stop crime.
  22. These are good mowers folks. I bought one a week or so ago. I'm extremely satisfied and it's a great mower. Cranks first pull. He does a good job!
  23. I don't recall saying Oregon is cheating. I just said they will have something up their sleeves for the game. This usually means special plays, things that may not have shown on film, etc. I don't know where you figure I said they cheat. I simply told you of an incident that happened at the stadium a few years ago. They seem to have a magic about them. Although I am a Bulldogs fan, I am a SEC fan too. If you spend any time in the PAC territory, they absolutely talk smack about us. I don't really care if Auburn cheats, etc with Cam Newton. The Dawgs aren't in the Championship game in the end. I
  24. I hate Oregon. I lived in Eugene for seven years and my wife went to the other school (Oregon State). That said, Oregon always has had something up their sleeve and some kind of magic. One year they were getting thumped by Cal at home. The lights magically went out in their stadium stopping the game for almost an hour. By the time the game restarted, Oregon changed their game plan and put a whooping on Cal to win the game. I'm a Bulldog fan (orginally from Georgia). I grew up in south west GA and always hated Auburn. My hate for Oregon supercedes any hate I have for Aubrn, GA Tech, UF, Tenn, e
  25. The way the world works nowadays they will probably get their own reality show and the victims will have to pay them for the mental harm inflicted upon them in jail... Not that I'm cynical or anything....
