We set ours at 78. Sometimes we might bump it up or down depending on the weather or if we have been working outside most of the day, but mostly we just let it stay where set. and no, I don't think 80 is too hot.

I have an older vacuum (still works, may need a new filter) and some king size sheets if you want them. I might have other things too, but I'd have to do some digging later. If you want them, I have a very short window of opportunty to get them from me - but you are more than welcome to have them. I've been putting off going to one of the thrift stores for donating as I just haven't had time. PM me if you want them. I'll continue to look around too ....
