Depends on the route you want to take! I'd start with a map and layout whether I want a more northernly route or more southernly. There are lots of interesting cities & towns in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas to stop. Are you interested in Civil War sites? Do you like museums? Do you like forts? I stopped soda a few years back (diet included), and boy did that help when I was trying to lose weight! It is extremely rare (maybe once a year or twice) that I'll even have a soda of any sort.

I just need to post this ..... 3 years ago, I was sitting here just bumping another set of kittens needing a home - pleading for someone to take them - they were 4 mos old coming in, at the shelter for 2 months. Then I heard from another room in the house saying "PLEASE, just go get them" and off I went! I adopted Gus & Greta from PCAC, bring them home sight-unseen-unplayedwith-unknown.
