Have you looked at the task manager to see what hidden process starts up about that time and is hogging the CPU?

Have you checked to see what your virus scanners are set to run at? A lot of them have a "schedule" to pick up updates or to apply changes or to run scans.

Sounds like a great wish to have. Maybe 10 minutes in a hot tub with ear plugs? It has taken me a long time to get here, may your journey be a LOT shorter! I've got a birthday coming up and already being asked "what do you want?". I really don't need anything. I'm good with what I have and really don't see anything that I want/need that I can't get when I need/want it. I don't mind getting the unusual (like trees or bushes or ??) or even items which plug in (how I got my upright freezer), but it got me thinking about what I want this year. We are going to have panini sandwiches ... fancy way of say a pressed grilled sandwich On ciabatta bread, I'll be layering sweet ham, swiss cheese and roasted red peppers with dijon mustard spread.
