Skud Cloud is my guess. The difference is that a tornado spins.. On a more positive note...off of Bill Carruth Pkwy was a full (almost double) rainbow around 5:15pm today. Gem Man 86

Technically, if a member is inactive for a period of time Pubby will delete the account. However, I think he doesn't do this often and usually only to accounts that have been inactive for a long time say more than a year. Johnny J is right...give them a call..

LOL! I love it... I think I'm going to have a couple of egg rolls and some sweet & sour sauce. Now, it's not a meal fit for a king but it does taste good... Unless... "NoPickles4Me" invites me to join in on what is my most favorite meal ever!!

Well never been hunting before but we once had a nice "pack" of deer eat off our plum trees regularly. We once saw the largest buck we'd ever seen before...we counted 21 points...no joke...the thing was fantastic and huge!! Some hunter finally got each one of them. Now all we see is a doe and fawn.

Well I would be glad to help in any way. I do have access to a full wood working shop, if needed. I will see if I can find a spare fireplace mantel someone isn't using... Gem Man 86

If you are going to get one you should consider the types of games that are available and how many games. In other words, creators of games will sometimes only make a game for one type of console such as Xbox while others may only make them Playstation. Simply look at the collection of games being offered at a game store. Wal-mart is not setup to only deal with games so their collection will be more limited then a dedicated gaming store. If you buy an Xbox you should consider how long your son is likely to play with this "toy". I suspect that if he likes gaming that he will play with the

This is a great deal! This is a great time to get pictures taken in time for the holidays. There are some great places in and around Paulding to get pictures. High Shoal Falls, Pickett's Mill, White Oak park ect. I bet a lot of people have some beautiful backyards too! Gem Man 86

Good Morning Everybody!!

Palm Tree Rocks, Again, I have no problem with the school having a cannon or Pickett's Mill. In fact, I worked at Pickett's Mill for several years and enjoyed the opportunities to fire the cannon like anyone else would and support them anyway I can. However, someone did question East Paulding High and their cannon. Whether the cannon fires or not is really not an issues. If students are suspended for drawing a weapon be it a cannon or gun then how is allowing a cannon on school permitted? If cannons that don't fire are permitted then by this logic guns that don't fire are pe

Our family eats a little bit of everything but the one thing I count on every year is my grandmother's famous sweetish meatballs. Marinated and allowed to simmer all day...there's nothing better... man...I wish Thanksgiving was here already... Gem Man 86

Candle Light Tours at Pickett's Mill State Park. Tonight is the last night. Gem Man 86

You know technically she has a point. Sure, when the cannon is used correctly it may seem harmless. But by design a cannon is not harmless. Now if students are being expelled just over a drawing of a gun, a tiny toy gun (I mean real tiny), and other similar situations then how could a larger cannon be permitted. I remember when I attend Hiram High in the early 2000's and how even having a screwdriver in your truck would be a 3 day suspension with no questions asked. So perhaps a double standard is occurring. We know that a student with a screwdriver in his truck probably uses it fo

Yep. Pickett's Mill State Park. A very cool experience to say the least. If you have never been to the "Candle Light Tours" then you should make it this year. Tonight (Saturday) is there last night. You are given a handmade wooden lantern and then guided through the forests of the historic Civil War battlefield. During this walk Civil War reenactors act out several scenes that likely played out before the last assault on Federals. Finally, you end up behind the Confederate artillery strong point where the order is given to fire the cannon to alert the Confederate command to push hard th

I'm thinking about offering our chickens to help clean up the corn.. Glad to see no one was hurt.

I am uncertain when they plan to close but I believe the closing is simply a long term strategic plan. I suppose that means that the store just has run its course. I believe they determined that renovating the store wouldn't generate interest as much as a new store. I believe they may be building a new store but where I have no idea. As to what sporting goods store, I am still uncertain. I think the hope is that it will actually cater to hunting and fishing sports. I will keep my ear to the wind… Gem Man 86

I believe they intend to build a Food Lion or some sort there. FYI: Kroger of Hiram is CLOSING (Hwy 278/Hwy92). Sporting goods store to replace them. Gem Man 86

Well don't get me wrong I do like the lights but I can remember when the light didn't get hung until December. I suppose it made Christmas more special for me as a kid because after Thanksgiving you knew that Christmas was around the corner. When the lights went up the suspense began to build, Christmas commercials increased, magazines changed seasons ect. Oh well perhaps it's just me... They do look nice. Gem Man 86

City of Hiram has started to hang its telephone poll Christmas lights. Now call me old fashion but doesn't Thanksgiving come before Christmas... ? I know Christmas is a fun time of the year but is it really necessary to start Christmas so early? Does it not make Christmas that less special when is starts before Halloween? Just asking... Anythings got to better then politics..right.. Gem Man 86

How were the crowds at your voting site?

Just came from Hiram High with about a 30 minute wait. Not bad except the entire line must wait outside. A little cool outside if you ask me. Some should turn mother natures heat up! You know I half expected people to be in bad moods or be ready to fight but everyone seemed to be in the nicest mood. Something about watching and listening to people so calmly and respectfully carry on conversations at the polls somehow dials down the negativity spewing from the media. For a brief moment it looked like a world without negativity. Well back to reality.. Have a good one!! Gem man -
Robot for sure. Without even reading the article you can tell that her movements are too jerky which has been an issue with robots since they were first created. Human movements are extremely difficult to mimic but within my life time they will have solved the issues. Look at her eyes when she blinks. Notice how her eye lids are more attached to her eyebrows then humans. We have a bit more skin between our eyes and eyebrows. All in all a very good attempt. Just don't name her iRobot Gem man 86
