  1. WOW. How dare you say that my husband worked behind an invisible wall. He is the most fair person I know. You sir, don't have a clue!!!
  2. So you are not going to google and find good things police officers do?!!!! Wow, how informative are you? If you give one side of events, it only is fair to give the other side, but I guess your mission is to bash police officers. Wow....
  3. Just to let you know I don't watch any video you post. Can you google up some officers doing good? If you ever do, please let me know.
  4. There is an urgent need for blood. If you can spare some, please go by Ragsdale Library this Wednesday. Time is 2PM to 7PM Thanks
  5. I googled it. There is a term Blue Wall. I've never used it and I've never heard anyone use it. I guess you had to google to find that term like I did. I think the wall is on the side of people like you because I've never seen it.
  6. I didn't vote. I just think he is uninformed about what police do. I think he likes to google up crap and start crap. If he only knew what crap police officers have to deal with every day he would stop. He will never know what a police officer does. I worked at Cobb County PD for 30 years. I saw the police officers more than their family got to. They work their shift and its not over until all the paperwork is done. Some are on call and get called in after working a 8 hour, 10 hour and even a 12 hour shift. They get called in on their off days to work. They sometimes have to go to co
  7. My husband is a retired police officer. He worked for Cobb County for 30 years. I wish you knew all the good things that police officers do. You seem to have a mission to google all you can to find bad things about police officers. I hope you never truly need a police officer to help you. Your attitude toward police officers could make a small incident into a large one. At Cobb County there were several sayings. One was "We don't try cases on the side of the road". If you break the law, you will take the ride and have your day in court. If you act a fool and do stupid stuff toward a
  8. I agree. Yesterday I was following my 82 year old Mama to IHOP in Marietta/Kennesaw. She didn't have her lights on. She drives great in her little area of comfort. I explained to her the need for her lights in the fog, that it wasn't to help her see, but to help others see her. I had to show her how to turn her lights on. She never drives during the rain or at night. Bless her heart.
  9. We only fly once a year to our family reunion in Texas. We have always taken Delta. Last year we flew Spirit. It was ok, but just not what we were used to flying Delta. You don't have to get assigned seats, but we always have because we kinda know where we like to be on the plane. Doing it, it cost extra to get assigned seats. Delta will let you get your seats assigned free. This year I have been checking prices and have decided that the $20 or $30 cheaper on the websites isn't good since I know we will have to pay extra to get assigned seats.
  10. Troop 321 sells it year round. They are in NR Paulding.
  11. Oh no. This is awful news. Praying for her family.
  12. I got $62.00 and my husband got $271.00. My Mama has had EMC for 40 years. She hasn't got hers yet. I told her its because hers is so big that they had to hire a brinks truck. LOL. I hope she gets a bunch..a couple hundred dollars would be awesome for her.
  13. I have only seen and heard about portions of the note Geddy left behind. It really makes me feel so sad for his family. Then I think how could his Dad not know that his son was having issues. I found out recently that the shooter came back looking for my nephew to shoot him too. I am angry!!! I am in shock that someone who didn't even know my nephew wanted to kill him. I hope that he knew God as his savior because even he doesn't deserve hell. I am glad he is dead. I know that sound awful, but it spares my nephew and his co-worker the agony of going to court over this. Like ya'
  14. The gunman didn't attempt to conceal the weapon. He came in with the shotgun out. My nephew said before he could complete the thought process of "Does he have a gun", the guy came in and shot his co-worker. It was that quick,. Edited to add: They do have a metal detector. If he went thru with a concealed gun, they would have known. I don't know how the situation would have went down, if he went thru trying to conceal the gun. We will never know because it didn't happen that way.
  15. 2 points I want to make. 1. My nephew took this job knowing he would be unarmed. He needed a job. Did it bother him that he was unarmed? Yes, he has been in the process of finding a job where if he works in security, he will be allowed to wear a gun. 2. Both my nephew and the co-worker that was shot were Army trained. Meaning that they were probably hired because of their training they already had and because of the confidence and outward appearance they have....meaning clean cut, strong, sharp etc. My opinion only>>>>>>>>They did the best they could
  16. Other than having a guarded fence, everything you said is in place and still a gunman was able to shoot his way thru. I am not sure if they are able to track where an employee is at any time. Silly statement...maybe. If you provide a security guard at a workplace, they should be able to protect the employees. This place had unarmed security. I've never seen the places you mention give their employees a false sense of security by providing unarmed security.
