We are not doing the collards and peas. We don't like them. I guess we will just have to have bad luck. We are having turkey breast, scalloped potatoes and baked beans. I can't do pork, but I sure wish I could.

Prayers for your family and especially your sister and nephew. Leaving a will was a great thing, but probably not what your sister needed to see today. I admire your nephew's courage! I thank him for his service for our country.

WOW just WOW!! I had no idea what the cost of being air lifted to a hospital was. I am just thankful that there is an air ambulances in the Paulding Area. I would be grateful to be air lifted if I was injured. I would just try my best to pay what the insurance didn't pay for. I have a friend who was an Apache helicopter pilot in Iraq. He now flies with one of the Life flight helicopter. I know that he is very experienced. I don't know what he gets paid, but I'm pretty sure it's not enough for what he does. WOW what a typo. I retired at 49. I started when I was 19. I'll fix it. LOL

I retired from Cobb County over 3 years ago. Our retirement was Rule of 80 (years of service and age = 80) I retired at the age of 49 with 30 years of service, with full benefits. If we had not had this type of retirement, I am guessing I would have had to wait until I was 62 or so, per the SS paperwork. I guess I was lucky to find a job and stick with it. It did make me kinda crazy! LOL

Are the jobs at the State Capitol? Also I have a census question. My Mom says that she has heard that the Census people will be going door to door to get the count. She lives in Cobb and is widowed. She does not answer the door to anyone she does not know. Is this how they are getting the count? Thanks!
