Hand-in-hand British musician & wife commit suicide together
juleebella replied to westside family's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How and why? These people weren't giving KoolAid to their kids laced with cyanide while under threat of death from a maniacal brain washing dictator who in the meantime was having sex with their children while stealing their welfare checks. This appears to be a very loving couple who opted to go out together. Playing God? Well, who doesn't when they go and get their prescriptions filled. If God intended for God to make all the decisions he never would have given inspiration to Doctors, now would he? -
How much would someone charge us to install it. That is the question. We're on a tight, extremely tight budget right now, and I'm curious as to how much someone other that Harry's David (if you get my drift) would charge to install it.
-
I'm sure this is probably the wrong forum, but we got a quote for buying it, but the big box store wants to charge us twice the quote to install it. DH can do it, although it may take him a week, so........................................................... Mods, if you need to move this, that's fine.

We haven't been to Destin in probably 20+ years. We went once, and then we started going to Ft. Walton (just down the road with the same "sugar" beach. Destin just started to get too built up. Just enjoy the beach and take a good book!

So sad: World's oldest newmom dies and leaves toddlers

I think it boils down to math and common sense. On her part that is. I'm sorry for the toddlers though. -
I bet your Granfather did too. (Sorry)

"I Hope You Dance" was my son's class song at his high school graduation. I'd never paid any attention to it before that time. When it would come on the radio after his graduation, which was rare, I would cry. Now that's he's through college and married it no longer brings that reaction. I still don't hear it played as often as the songs that I mentioned before that if I never hear again in my life will be too soon.

Well of course everyone is going to die - do you know anyone that hasn't or won't?

OH............MY.............God.............Johnny Depp as Baranabas?!?!? Sigh...............................OK, that just made my night, LOL.

My husband was on his show - just in the audience, years and years and years ago - he still talks about the "Ooey, Gooey Bag". But my favorite memory, other than watching Officer Don and the Popeye club when I was a little kid, was the night we were at a restaurant in downtown Atlanta. I think we were at Shipfieffers (sp?) and all of a sudden my husband said "don't look, there's Officer Don". He was at a table a few feet from us. My husband's reaction was so funny, so in awe, etc. Oh Lord, the ties that bind
-
I don't remember that host, but yes, I think every city had a local host. We were just talking about this the other night. The one I remember was Ghoulardie (sp?) I think he may have been out of Memphis. The same cities also had their own cartoon guy in the afternoon. I distinctly remember Officer Don here in Atlanta. Gosh - back to Dark Shadows!

Change in plans here. No red wine. So............I've got Brunswick stew in the freezer, I'll make homemade corn bread and salad.
-
Oh, it's still so much fun to watch, just a different take on it. And Victoria Winter, the governess, do you remember her in the actual Claus Von Bulow murder case? I thought it to be very ironic.
-
I did. I was switching channels a number of weeks ago and saw "Dark Shadows" on I think the Sci Fi channel. What a disappointment. I was hoping for the old campy show. I remember as a little kid it used to scare the heck out of me!

Burgundy beef tips over rice and a salad. And I've got some good french bread. And you?
-
Anyone as old as me remember watching it? We got what I told my husband was not the first season, but it must be. Barnabas just showed up last night........................

That's a darn good idea. I've become a huge proponent of white vinegar and baking soda for all kinds of cleaning. Hm......I may just go try and do that. Thanks! -
Boston Zoo budget cut might result in the animals being eauthanized
juleebella replied to ram0265's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If they hadn't spent so much money on "The Big Dig" things might not be so dire. I saw this article this morning and refused to read it, it makes me sick. There are enough "deep pockets" in Boston to not let this happen, and I pray that will be the case. -
But nobody plays Hendrix anymore. I have to agree though, he was supposed to be one of the greatest guitar players of all time, and to me it always just sounded like noise. Of course, I feel that way about most jazz music too. All over the place and making no sense. I guess for both you'd have to be stoned or drunk to enjoy it - My apologies to all drunk, stoned Hendrix or jazz enthusiates.

I'm still going to have to take SOS pads to it, and I really didn't have quite enough Coke, so I added a couple of cans of Sam's caffeine free diet cola, but I think I'm making progress, LOL. This thing is going to be a booger to get back to it's original luster, but I think I'm making clear progress. -
Oh, OK, do they box, street fight, is it real, what channel, etc.? OK, just checked the link, so it's glorified wrestling with no holds barred with some manly man on man Gladiator stuff, LOL.
