Wasn't me, it was nature and age I guess. Techinically it's a bunion, which doesn't sound too horribly horrible until you see the X-Rays and notice that my big toe and index toe are turning in to each other, which can apparently turn in to all other kinds of problems. Heck, I'm not that old! Older than you I'm sure, but not really that old! Anyway, it will amount to surgery which will amount to having a broken foot for about 6 - 8 weeks - cast, crutches, etc., etc.

And that is all.

Bless his heart, I saw this video a couple of days ago, and couldn't help but laughing, especially after I'd heard that he'd been rescued. I really think this would be a great piece of footage for a Yoplait commercial! -
OK, I know it's July, but I've had a distinct craving for corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef is about done, and then I'll be doing the cabbage, pototaes, onions and carrots. Call me weird, call me stupid, whatever - just don't forget to call me when this is done.
-
I have no idea what that means, but I'll try to be more careful in the future. Thanks!

And most of my responses to other peoples' responses never showed up, and then I got an error message. What's up with that?
-
No, but I think now I'll be singing Wayne Newton while trying not to get eaten by the socks that go in to the washer by twos and come out of the washer as singles. Did Noah have this problem?
-
Well yeah, but that's no different than a number of people on this board Guess I might as well go speak to myself in the kitchen and talk to the socks about to go in the washer
-
But did you see all my responses? My topics are there, no problem, but some of my (innocent) responses never showed up, and then I got that weird error message.
-
OK, "the number of opening and closing posts" apparently is a problem. What? I've never had that message before. What exactly does that mean?
-
I've responded to one of my own posts a couple of times in the last few minutes and nothing is showing up. These were completely innocent responses to a completely innocent story. I don't get it. Let's see if this one gets on board.

I'd play along if I had any idea what the song or artist was. Signed, An Old Fart/Fartess

You know, I kind of felt the same way when he was still alive, but I must admit, I was sad when I heard he'd died. He sort of became one of those annoying members of the family
-
I've got the TV on BBC America, and I just saw and heard my first Billy Mays commercial since he died. I thought they'd all been pulled, but apparently not. This was was "Jupiter Jack", which I'd never heard of - but if you order right now..................

Are they checking ID's or do they have a sign that says you must be shorter than this to take advantage of this offer? Ryan's is OK, sort of, if you like that kind of thing. For the price I guess it's a good deal.

I would be willing to bet that my new DIL and I could sit down with an entire jar of olives and be in pig's heaven. Re the cake mix/raw cookie dough thing - now who didn't want to lick the spoon or the bowl after Mom/Grandma got through making a cake?
-
Cold pizza, cold leftover hamburger helper and cookie dough. Not really, that was my take off from the other thread, although as hungry as I am I could easily eat it. We're actually having leftover burgundy beef tips, rice and probably salad.
-
Of course you can! Just like when I was around 6 y/o and ate Nestle's Quick powder straight from the spoon! OK, now I'm in the mood for Pillsbury slice and bake cookie dough. Just one or two pieces, otherwise it's too rich after my cold pizza.

You're talking gourmet cold stuff right there! Let your hubby gag, he has no idea what he's missing!

I buy my meat from wherever I can get the best prices and quality - namely Costco. I know that West Metro has got some really good stuff, cut to order if need be, but for day to day stuff, I take a trip to Costco once ever 2 months or so and then stock up. We're not big fish eaters, but I learned years ago that if you want something like Orange Roughy - very mild, very good, it comes from the waters off of Australia. I'll only order shrimp in a restaurant anymore when I'm near the Gulf Coast, otherwise I would be willing to bet it's frozen. Tilapia? I have no idea where it comes from
-
I know, it's a texture kind of thing, but when mixed with the cold fajita meat, when you're starving - well...........it works!
-
You never ate cold pizza for breakfast? Are you nuts, or are you just my son Do you eat bologna and cheese? You do realize that you're eating a cold flattend out hotdog with cold cheese, right? You do understand where an egg comes from, right? And bacon, bacon.................well, don't get me started on that!
-
Admit it, you all do things behind closed doors, or especially, in your kitchen that you would prefer to keep quiet and never admit to. OK, here goes ........................ I haven't eaten all day today, for one reason or another, and I just ate some cold fajita meat from last night's dinner out with my husband. Yes................it also involved cold chips, cold sauteed onions and peppers, and yes, I used my fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't judge me Weenies! You've never eaten anything cold from your fridge? Liars!
