  1. I agree. I feel the same way about meat in my food. I freaked out when someone took a spoon out of something with meat in it and put it in my specially made non-meat dish. And they thought I was crazy.
  2. I've been really lucky, despite constant raises in premiums, deductibles, prescriptions and co-pays. I've had surgery, medical issues, etc. While the surgery was expensive, it was nowhere near what it would have been out of pocket. and I have been able to pay them monthly without interest. (There were some claim issues, but don't get me started on that.) One thing that did irk me enough to call and bitch was when they started taking allergy meds off of the "preferred" lists, meaning it would go from $25 a month for brand (at that time, $40 now), to $75 or more. The reasoning was that
  3. Oh man. These were more accidents than childhood silliness, but I touched a plug in the back of a radio that was cracked and got thrown a few feet. And fell off a trampoline (you know, before they became large playpens) and landed on my face. Ouch. Nothing broken, luckily. I remember plenty of road rash from falling off bikes, too.
  4. Yes. and lets give a ribbon to everyone so no little precious snowflake gets their feelings hurt. ETA: and my Dad's gun cabinet was NEVER locked, plus he kept a loaded shotgun by his bed. I knew not to touch them without his permission, though.
  5. I actually have pics, but I will NOT post here.
  6. Very nice! Ugh, wallpaper. I HATE it. We have one more wall to remove when we get to the master bedroom. Been re-doing one room at a time. Had to remove vinyl in two tiny bathrooms.

    Not seeing it. <---nosy
  8. I have terrible allergies, too, to a lot of stuff year round. I'm now in year 3 (?) of allergy shots, and only take Zyrtec on shot days or when my eyes are itchy. I also use a neti pot, and am weaning myself off of Flonase. (Plus I have asthma.) Bottom line - neti pot. It helps with congestion, irritation, and/or post nasal drip. A humidifier would help too, but like you, I have mold/mildew allergies. The air is so dry, but I don't want to risk too much moisture. ETA: on the rare occasion that I do get congested, I'll take a store brand decongestant. Luckily since the allergy
  9. Because they give me a discount. And we only go once a month. ETA: I don't care what anyone thinks.
  10. The one in Marietta near the Big Chicken. My husband now buys all of his beef and chicken (and occasionally seafood) there. I stock up on vegan/vegetarian staples. There aren't many deals there. I consider myself lucky to get out of there without spending $100. Of course, we only go once a month, if that, and repackage and freeze servings. (And I hate the self-checkout. Annoying. My husband usually bags our stuff. Well, what he can get to before the bagger grabs it.)
  11. Srsly. But now it's "Lets put every heavy item in with the bananas and make her head explode" method of bagging. Or. lets put all the cans into one bag so that it nearly busts, but lets put this box of cereal in a bag by itself. No sense.
  12. I have no problem with that. I have reusable bags, but I only use them when we go to Whole Foods (monthly), and rarely on my weekly trip to Kroger. I use the ones without holes to scoop my litter boxes. I have not found an affordable or convenient alternative. Biodegradable bags are expensive, especially given how many cats I have. A large container (empty litter bucket?) would be a pain in the ass to haul in and out of the house twice a day. I don't know. I do recycle the ones we do not use.
  13. She claims to have done nothing to her face, too. Or, she said that last year, I think. ETA: BS, she had 6 already.
  14. Will they be frog boots? I got a hat a while back from the place at 41 and....S. Marietta Pkwy? Shut up! It was for a costume.
  15. I live in Cobb, but I do occasionally shop in Paulding. That PetSmart is closer, and Moe's. But, there's no Old Navy, no other vegetarian(-friendly) restaurants (besides Mellow Mushroom), and no Whole Foods. With a Kroger or Publix on just about every corner, WF is about the only other thing that would bring me out that way. ETA: Maybe a gun range.
  16. My first place was an old duplex with my husband. It had avocado appliances, "renter's brown" carpet, and walls too thin. We could hear our neighbors having sex, since their bedroom was on the other side of our living room. Our landlord was a very nosy older woman. the things she told us about her tenants made us wonder what she told them about us.
  17. I think the circus needs to be charged. Srsly.
  18. Creepy? I'd be more worried about methheads or crackheads.
  19. Run, zebra, run! I'd be trying to get away from them, too.
