  1. On the flip side, the shoplifter broke the law. As soon as he did that, he took the chance that something could go terribly wrong - and it did. He's as much responsible for his death as anyone else.
  2. I don't know what you'd consider reasonable price-wise, but my sister has been pleased with Portrait Innovations over at The Avenues on Dallas Highway.
  3. With respect, I like the hot-process soap and have NEVER had a problem with it. Perhaps *some* people have a sensitivity to it, but that is certainly not true for everyone. Her Blackberry Sage is my favorite, too - I tell her it smells like summertime.
  4. Looks like it turned out well - if you don't get it right, it won't harden properly. Soap Mom doesn't post very often any more, but she makes hot-process soap in a large crock pot. She was selling it for a while, but I think she's taking a break from that. I bought a LOT from her - her soap is *wonderful*!
  5. *If* the printer has an available USB port, you could just copy what you want to print to a thumb drive, then take *that* upstairs to the printer.
  6. I'm so very sorry, Glenn - may God comfort you and her family.
  7. Why didn't your *son* ask them why your presence was necessary? Did he have all of the necessary documents required by Secure ID? The fact that he was told to bring his birth certificate makes me wonder. It's also possible that they want you there - with your license - to prove residence for him.
  8. I disagree that it was 'well-hidden' - it was plainly visible from 278. I suspect it was just too upscale for this area. The store in Kennesaw has flourished for many years.
  9. Since it was going to be held at Dallas Billiards, you could always call them and ask for details. KewlLisa posted the original message - you could PM her, too.
  10. I've seen Pubby and the mods remove contact info (phone numbers and links) from *inside* a thread before, so that's why I posted as I did. Besides, anyone could search as I did, if they were so inclined.
  11. They have a veggie calzone and a veggie pizza. The menu is easily readable on a laptop - probably not on a tablet or phone, though.
  12. That's what worked for me - it's the very first result on a Yahoo search. I can't post the link since they're not commerce members. Yes - it's on the website.
  13. Do a search for John's Biscuit & Pizza and you'll find their website. They also deliver!
  14. I thought the cemetery removed them after a few days. But I'm sorry you were upset, LR.
  15. So brides up there don't register for gifts? Interesting.
  16. If you have to ask the question, I'd say that the person isn't important enough to you to be given two gifts.
  17. I'm sorry that your mother is in the hospital on election day, but as many options as we now have for early voting and absentee voting, I can't see that anyone is at fault for not bending over backward to *bring* her a ballot. If you don't see how unreasonable that is, then I'm also sorry for *you*. I have some rather serious health issues myself, and I made it a point to vote early so that if I didn't feel up to it today, I would have already voted. May I respectfully suggest that you and your mother make arrangements to do the same in future elections.
  18. I hope he was given a blood glucose meter and a prescription for strips. He should be testing regularly to get an idea of how he's metabolizing his meals - some people are much more reactive to carbohydrates, for example. Until y'all get to counseling, check out the American Diabetes Association website.
  19. It is an excellent course, and worth every penny. What is your *life* worth, after all?
  20. I kind of got the impression from the first post that the establishment has had a hard time keeping employees because people don't know what they're getting into. Food service is hard work for (usually) relatively little pay - people might as well understand that up front.
  21. Did you look at the link I provided? 'Retailers' implies that the 'Elf on the Shelf' concept was something dreamed up by marketers working for a publishing or toy company. In fact the book and toy were written and designed by a mother and daughter, who as I recall sold the sets themselves locally before they contracted with a company to mass-produce them.
  22. Nope. http://www.elfontheshelf.com/en-us/aboutus/theteam.aspx
