Well it appears much of the scientific community doesn't believe Global Warming is man made but more likely to be a result of a natural occurrence. It seems rising temperatures cause a rise in carbon dioxide, not the other way around. Wonder if "your people" have paid much attention to the Sun over the last 50 years?? Global Warming is purely political for financial gain. The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!! My link

Praying hard for this family and the emergency personnel that had to respond.

Rachel Ray?? Paula Deen?? Must be the food network. Been there done that, I thoroughly enjoy cooking with someone. My dad and I can tear up the kitchen in no time. My son is also an excellent cook. My husband has just learned how to turn the stove on. He does enjoy watching cooking shows so I'm guessing if he tried he'd be pretty good at it. Just can't get him to step over that line.

Temp has risen to 32.5.........keep going up!!! Deck is still frozen.

Yep still 32 here in Yorkville, hasn't budged. We have propane, usually buy a tank full in Sept that lasts til the end of January, we are already at 25%. I ordered gas for next week...........there goes $600.00 at least. Hopefully it will last til spring. I'm not going anywhere for a while, still having bad dreams about Wednesday night!! Everyone be safe!!!

I have never run a fever with bronchitis. I've only had it twice in my life, last time was three years ago, I thought I was going to die. Hope the chicken broth helps.
-
Laurie, it sounds like bronchitis. Unfortunately it doesn't respond to the usual remedies. Antibiotics are the only thing that ever helps me. Hope you feel better soon. ((hugs)) Oh yea, do not get on an airplane with bronchitis...........just saying!!

I hope not, they aren't saying anything about it on the news again. Rain mixing in and freezing on the deck. There were hundreds of accidents before they even issued any warnings Wednesday. Saw 8 cars flipped or in ditches on the way home, we left at 4:00 they didn't issue the warning til after 5:00. Please be safe everyone.

I know her parents must be proud, but ya know apples don't fall far from the tree. -
OMG!! Never mind, I'll just follow Tabby's lead.

Does public speaking frighten you?
Cathyhelms replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Haven't had a problem with public speaking since I ran for student council president and won. Public speaking was a piece of cake with those 3x5 cards in 7th grade. -
Do you think they'll have ASP???
-
  Trick or Treating will take place during the next ice storm...........no matter when that is.

Very, very cool!!!
-
Bless her heart.

So do you think there will be any extra circular activities today??

Buchanan Hwy is clear and about cleaned up. There were only a handful of cars left on the side if the road, only saw one in a ditch, way down a steep embankment. I hope everyone was safe, looks like the wrecker crews have been very busy today.
-
Thanks, I understand the reluctance to have any speed today. That road was so scary last night!!!
-
For once I think we were clear when some other areas were still iced over. It warmed up faster on the West side of the county. Fortunately he's off the road in someone's yard but I'm sure they want it gone. Thank you everyone!!
-
I'm thinking it would be a good idea to have these around, hope I never, ever have to use them but last night they would have been a blessing. My link

I think most of the ice is probably gone but there were cars parked all over it last night, just wondering if we can get through yet?? We have to go get DS's Bronco.
