Wonder if someone could open a business to teach etiquette?? Especially table manners and appropriate behavior in restaurants. Oh, I'm not talking about just for the kiddos.

I love kids, I really do. Mine are raised, I would prefer to dine without children present. My kids were pretty well behaved, most of the time but........................it only takes a small incident, even if it's handled quickly to ruin the experience. An adults only section would be very nice for us.

Just don't sign it until you are in front of the Notary!! A lot of people make that mistake, if more than one signature is required, all parties need to sign in front of a Notary. My daughter is a Notary but her seal is at her office in Dallas. If no one else is available perhaps she can meet you at the office to get it done.

You are a good dad!! I especially like that you take your child out of the environment to apply "real" discipline. An an occasional, "sit down" or "talk quietly" is OK but hearing the parents tell them to do something over and over is as bad as the child misbehaving. If the aren't listening, please take them outside or into the restroom. My kids knew once or maybe twice but, if I ever stood up, it was over, they were leaving the room with me.

That's another topic all together. I wonder how many families actually sit down to dinner, around the kitchen table anymore?? My kids are grown but my husband and I still eat (almost) every meal at the kitchen table. Heck when my two oldest were young, they couldn't leave the table until everyone was finished eating. Then they had to ask if they could be excused. I admit I wasn't so hard on the youngest one, he's twelve years younger than his next sibling. How about we send a memo to all the restaurants we like to visit and suggest they provide a "Family Section".

They should have a no children section, just like they used to have a no smoking section. I rarely took my kids to a restaurant to eat, we couldn't afford it. On the rare occasion we got to go, by gosh they better behave and not complain out loud they didn't like the food. Where have manners gone?? Where's the respect for others?? WTH are the parents thinking?? And let's not even mention the mess they leave for the waiter/waitress.
