  1. I have always loved JC Penney's clothes. They fit right, the sizes are consistent and they have some good choices. Very nice DGITW!!
  2. Praying for you and your mom Lowrider. Strong women generally have strong mothers, it's very had when they need our help. PWilhelm, praying for you as well.
  3. You're killing me. Sounds yummy though!!
  4. That's what I meant, the money men drove the agents.
  5. You're smart like that!! I really am not throwing rocks at any homeowners. I truly feel for the ones that are so upside down there is no way out. But Ido know there was a lot of commission paid out on over inflated values.
  6. There was nothing backhanded aimed at anyone, just a dose of reality. I truly empathize with the people that were coerced into buying more than they could afford, even if the job market hadn't tanked. The housing bubble was over inflated for a long time, people paid more for their houses than they were worth and when the bubble burst, it was impossible to hang on to something they should have never done in the first place. Buying your first home can be a daunting task, real estate agents are the professionals we have been told to trust. Mortgage Brokers and underwriters drove agents t
  7. You're right, I know I shouldn't have generalized, but I do believe those like you are few and far between.
  8. I agree with Mark and NC, sometimes a mod can be wonderful and turn around in a little while and be hateful!! At any rate, I know moderation is necessary and I also know the Mods get paid big bucks (I kid, I kid). I really wish there were some firmer guidelines in place for all the mods so they can at least be consistent, even if it's a different persona from day to day. So here's to the moderating team, you have a thankless job most of the time.
  9. I'm sorry Mark, there are some real estate professionals that are indeed on the up and up. I have many friends and several family members that are real estate professionals. Some of them are great and others, sometimes I wonder. I do think you are on the up and up and always have been. Those that have managed to continue selling homes in these down times are the ones that truly are there for their clients. You are one of those.
  10. I agree 100% but when you are being sold something you want and you are told it's within reach, it's all too easy. Everyone wants to own their own home, everyone wants to be part of the American Dream. Mortgage Brokers and Real Estate Professionals oversold the market, artificially inflated house values and increased their commissions. They made a LOT of $. The explosion of housing values is what has put most people under water, that and nearly 10% unemployment for the last two years. Problem is now those of us that were responsible, bought within our means and accepted the responsib
  11. Exactly!! Without a financial investment to get what you want, it becomes less important. The banks were pushed by Fannie and Freddie to make loans they knew they shouldn't, but the government required they make them and insured those loans. Now the bottom has fallen out and it's the bank's fault?? Not completely, those that were in charge of Freddie and Fannie know this, but it's better to make the capitalist the evil guy!! The higher down payments and more paperwork were the norm 20 years ago. It's time we get back to allowing people to purchase homes when they are ready, not becaus
  12. Were told they could afford a much more expensive house than they were thinking about? Did you tell the real estate professional you wanted to look at houses around $150,000.00 and they gave you a list of houses that started about $200,000.00?? Just curious, how many of you overbought because of the sales professionals?? How many of you are now upside down because of the real estate crash?? God bless you all, I hope this turns around soon and you get gainful employment so you can again have "your own home".
  13. I'm pretty happy with my old self. I'm definitely not complaining, life has been good to me.
  14. That sounds so yummy!! Especially the bacon grease reduction for the Zucchini!! I think we'll try this tomorrow. Today it was sliced ham from the grocery store and Cheezits.
  15. Go with your gut, you know what is best for your child.

  20. You need to talk to Nancy at West Metro, she's wonderful and so are her instructors. I know all of them, they are the absolute best and sooooooooo very calm!! Besides, they live out our way so she'll be extra careful because he'll be riding her roads. LOL.
