  1. Would that be in the isle next to the groceries delivered by "wind power"? Or is it in the isle by Monorail delivery??
  2. Honey, we've been here before when things were in much better shape. $4.00 per gallon is going to cause more inflation and cost of living increases. Yea, I'll get back to you in 3 months. Still waiting on the Soros-Snopes links I posted.
  3. Heck just tax the Rich people more and then subsidize the lower income earners, that will fix it. Well, unless it gets spent before it makes it back to the lower income earners. You know on programs line NPR and Planned Parenthood. We know how important those are.
  4. Praying for the family...............here's the story from the Florida paper. http://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/fla-39027-falls-balcony.html
  5. Unfortunately you can't just send a kid out out to play like we used to. Too many crazies out there, TV and video games have become the new baby sitter. I do think all of us could use more exercise, I certainly know I can.
  6. So, she made money. Is she not allowed to name her price for speaking engagements?? I wonder how much the Beatles got for performing at the White House??
  7. Come on, this is the first step to the fair tax. I guess no one wants that, huh??
  8. Surepip, your cooking is incredible!! But most of us do not have the time to prepare meals the way you do. Even if we did, most of us don't have the storage space. I absolutely understand this will never come close to what you make, it is a pretty good substitute.
  9. I believe people would whine if a fair tax jumped up and smacked them in the face. It's always better to make someone else pay, just not me!! Those evil rich guys make too much money. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Call a Waaambulance!!
  10. Since most of us are not gourmet cooks as Surepip is, you can buy a concentrated beef base. I was the bookkeeper for a restaurant a hundred years ago and they made really good French Onion soup. They used beef base something like this: Beef Base I've seen it for sale at several places including Wal Mart. This one: My link is good but I haven't seen the brand around here locally. Good luck, invite me over when you make it. Here's a similar recipe to the one they serve at Applebee's. I like to use toasted french bread instead of hamburger buns. French onion soup
  11. We can ALWAYS trust the GOVERNMENT to do the right thing, can't we?
  12. Cool, I didn't know that. I need to get some for my mom, her allergies are bothering her bad this year.
  13. I don't think I want to know. I'm not going to count them, it might make me think twice the next time I see a cute pair.
  14. Stuffed pepper, unstuffed. LOL All the stuff you put in peppers, all prepared and mixed up with chopped peppers and tomatoes from our garden last year.
  15. Seems like the dollar is definitely not as popular as it once was. What was that I read about replacing the dollar as the World Currency?? Just couldn't happen, right?
  16. Alright, stay in denial. Let's see where Opec takes this. How much is gas in Europe?? This was from March 4. My link
  17. My oldest son is. When he joined the Navy and put down he was allergic, they didn't believe him. Benadryl is what they give you when you are allergic to something. LOL Not only did he have the weird stuff happening, he broke out in little red dots all over his body!! Like tiny blood vessels broke. He still doesn't take Benadryl.
  18. They are already supposed to be in place, someone wasn't doing their job to make sure they were in operating order. The safety systems were ignored. So it's OK with you to pay over $100.00 to fill up your little car?? $9.00 x 12 gallons = $108.00.
  19. I wonder what impact on oil prices we would see if we were to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, with safety systems in place and monitored.
  20. If unrest continues in the Mid-east particularly in Saudia Arabia. We're at over $3.00 per gallon now, at $300.00 per barrel for crude, we could be paying over $9.00 per gallon for gas. <snip> Reuters
  21. Apparently a huge tree has fallen across Pumpkinvine Creek (278) and the power lines are under it. Power poles have snapped. Lots of Power Company trucks, they are not sure what to do, the creek is a problem. They told us we would be without power most of the day. We sent everyone home.
  22. Chose your battle wisely and be thankful nothing happened while you were gone. It's better for everyone to know what's going on but it's not life changing unless there were an emergency. Good try on you MIL's part but I think it takes more than a signature to give someone the ability to approve medical treatment. He probably didn't want you to dwell on the fact that something might happen to the child while you were gone, on the other hand he might not have thought it was that big of a deal. Either way, I don't think he did anything to hurt you deliberately. After all he's used
  23. Power is out at the office, lines across the drive, power pole snapped. West of Buchanan Hwy on 278, Georgia Power.
