It's probably the glow starter. Pates fixed mine for a reasonable fee. The part is not cheap.

Good Morning CC. No, didn't get to see it. We have a pretty big line of trees that blocks our East view. I did manage to bring some coffee it you're interested.

Most of the ball fields were here before Shearin and Carruth. I know Yorkville, California, Ridge Road, New Hope and New Georgia were. The big Parks came later. The county didn't spend much $ on Paulding Meadows until they put in the equestrian center.

You guys can thank Hogan Construction Group for that. I cannot believe the amount of work this company is doing in Paulding county, they don't even operate near here and they have a lonnnnnngggggg history of not paying their sub-contractors. Kinda like the Facilities Group was. Their office is in Norcross, so we don't have any local Contractors that can handle government projects that actually send jobs out for sub bids???

Everyone needs to realize this is how the fair tax would work. You buy something you pay a tax on it. Those from Cobb, Douglas and other nearby counties that shop at our stores, Kohls, Target, WalMart, Kroger, Food Lion, etc are paying tax for us to use here in Paulding. The more they shop here, the more they put in to our community. Same with the school SPLOST. Seriously like someone else said, we the people of Paulding County will have to provide the funds that will be missing from this tax, why not let those from other counties that use our roads help pay for them.

Thank you Tahoe.

Sorry to burst your bubble ZC but I've seen it happen many, many times in other areas.............the community raises funds for the amenities and/or improvements they want. They have arts and crafts festivals, "town" days, play time for kiddos with all proceeds going to fund the new park. But it takes commitment and dedication from the folks that live there.

Sorry, duty called...............had to tend to the garden and outside activities............durn!!

You're right, gosh I can't believe I agree with you!! If indeed the county can use the $ for maintenance then I don't have a problem voting yes, I just don't think we need to build any more parks right now. It's better to have everyone pay their "fair" share than the property owners bearing the entire burden. See, y'all convinced me voting yes on SPLOST was the best thing to do.

WW, you sure are old...................

I miss MWE. Here's her bug.

150 is too many, shoot we'd have to have 25 topics an hour to have that many posts. You can't quote yourself. I think he's being tough on us.

Woooo Hoooo NJ, I missed it. I had work to do, imagine that!! Congrats :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Come on, there are several that can do this. I know we can.

So which is it?? Can Parks and Rec use the money for maintenance or only to buy new land for parks?? Someone else said only new land and new parks, it couldn't be used for maintenance. I posted about that yesterday stating that since middle school sports have been canceled the parks would get more use. I'm so confused, what's true and what's not??
-
Maybe for the months of July and August?? Summers around here are kinda slow.
-
I'm with you LTD, very torn. I wouldn't have a problem at all voting for SPLOST if it wasn't for that stinking Parks and Rec stuff. I would really like to see the commissioners rework that budget and put as much as legally possible to public service.

What ever it takes........one word topics can be hysterical.
