  1. I'd like to post the photo on my FB as well. Who should credit be given to for taking the photo?
  2. Brown Rd (Powder Springs / Cobb County) around 8:00 AM Tuesday morning, 9/22/2009 Humphries Hill Rd at Hiram-Lithia Springs Rd (I think Austell / Cobb County) around 8:30 AM Tuesday morning, 9/22/2009 Humphries Hill Rd near Hiram-Lithia Springs Rd (I think Austell / Cobb County) around 8:30 AM Tuesday morning, 9/22/2009 I was amused that the street name going into the subdivision is "Water Oaks Dr", and that the neighborhood name "Deerfield Creek" on the brick entrance sign is almost legible mirrored by the water, and that the brick entrance sign has a "n
  3. The Cobb County officer manning the bridge on Brownsville Rd just told me that the road will be open hopefully in two hours after DOT crews replace the washed-out guard rails with barricades. However, the DOT had not arrived yet.
  4. Good job with the videos. I saw parts of them used on Fox 5 News
  5. I am concerned about being able to get to work or even to a grocery store with the roads washed out, however I favor this inconvenience over having my home flooded. Hopefully some roadways will be passable and not washed out completely when the water recedes.
  6. Yeah, it was a tad annoying to have to either scroll all the way back up or reach for the Home button on the keyboard. I'm glad it's back, just waiting for the original skin instead of this grey one with the star at the top that overlaps the links.
  7. Yup, I've been watching it today and waiting to break the record. At least we'll remember what happened on this day that resulted in the most people ever online. I'm sure a lot of unregistered visitors are from people posting links to the pictures thread on Facebook and elsewhere. I turned off signatures - seems to have helped. I'm sure turning off avatars would speed things up a bit as well. Before someone asks, click here to change board settings

  10. I don't know about right now, however this morning before 10 Brownsville Rd and Pine Valley Rd was closed, and all traffic coming from Hwy 92 was being diverted south on Burnt Hickory Rd. There was a submerged car on Pine Valley Rd that police could not get to.

  13. Is this that same area as seen on Google Maps? I might be a little off but it's in the same general area. Yes, it's the second house.
  14. Due to the road closures, none of the Powder Springs mail routes in Paulding County will be delivered today. The roads will have to open before mail delivery can resume.
  15. Hiram-Douglasville Hwy (Hwy 92) just north of Tidwell Rd
  16. The normally unnoticeable creek flooded Hwy 92 just north of Tidwell Rd
  17. Brownsville Rd closed at Pine Valley Rd, all traffic being diverted down Burnt Hickory Rd
  18. I heard earlier that 92 and Hiram Sudie was flooded, could it be that station? I don't think so. I drove west on Hwy 278 just after 9 PM and the east-bound lanes in front of the movie theater area was a big lake. I then went south on Hwy 92 and there was water going across the road just after the Hiram-Sudie Rd intersection but it was only a couple of inches deep and I had no problem driving through it. (I think they may have closed the road shortly after I drove by.) You were right. This photo was submitted to WSB
  19. call just came in for a submerged vehicle at Pine Valley Rd & Brownsville Rd
