I was there last week and there was a sign stating that they would be closed today. Happy birthday! Hopefully you won't get a ticket for an expired tag...

Are you wearing your rubbers today?
November Rain replied to shopthebookworm's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I guess you're referring to boots? I'm not familiar with that slang term. Today is a good day to be inside and read a book or watch a video! -
CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SALE! 50% storewide sale
November Rain replied to Taylor's P.A.L.S.'s topic in Business NEWS
Okay, I've put this event on my calendar and will see you Friday with the clothing that I outgrew! I'll clear out my closet to make room for the clothes that I'll be buying. I occurred to me after I asked that the store location might be in your signature; I have signatures disabled. (I did it to speed things up a few weeks ago during the flood when P'com was running slow and liked reading the threads without all the distractions in signatures.) -

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SALE! 50% storewide sale
November Rain replied to Taylor's P.A.L.S.'s topic in Business NEWS
Sounds like my kind of sale. I shop at a thrift store on 50% off days. Since you're wanting to make room, how interested would you be in a donation of men's clothing? I've been wanting to clean out my closet (and I already have a few bags full) for the past year but haven't gotten around to it. -
making yard sale signs, need a few materials

I'll have to remember that service for future reference. I occasionally want something laminated. When I was at Wal-Mart checking out their supplies, I found a can of Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear that includes paper among the list of surfaces it can be used on. However, the posterboard seemed to absorb it rather than it providing a clear coating. I applied another coat, but noticed that the posterboard was starting to show signs of water damage that I was intending to avoid. Covering the signs with packing tape is a good idea, however I had 18 signs and didn't want to use that muc -
Welcome home! Maybe I'll have a chance tomorrow (during the government holiday) to browse through all of the photos. There is a way around that. I explain it in this thread: Using an outside search engine for Paulding.com

When did the schools stop observing Columbus day? I am certain that Cobb County schools were out for Columbus day when I was in school in the 90s. I'll be enjoying the day off of work, but that means even more mail to deliver on Tuesday. However, the mail volume has been so low that it probably won't make a difference. I remember up to a few years ago wanting to have a day off after working the day after a holiday. The holidays that are observed by governments but not the general public results in even more mail the next day than when everybody is out of work. If I remember correctly

When the fuel pump when out on a Jeep Cherokee I had, the first indication was difficulty going uphill. The engine wouldn't start after I was hit in the right-rear wheel well. Another time the engine wouldn't turn or crank when the starter needed to be replaced. Same thing for the Neutral Safety Switch. And before that, the engine cut off while running and would turn but not crank when the Crankshaft Position Sensor went out. If you are going to do the work yourself, you really need to be certain what the problem is.

Sorry to hear about the wreck and the injuries of the man and his 27-year-old girlfriend. http://www.ajc.com/news/paulding-county-wo...led-160149.html There were multiple similar wrecks on Brownsville Rd back in 2005 after the road was repaved, leaving a 4-5 inch drop at the edge of the pavement. I complained here on Pcom and the shoulders along Brownsville Rd were graded within a few months (but I don't know whether my post had anything to do with it.)

WE ARE BACK! MACFARLANE'S IS OPEN TONIGHT!
November Rain replied to MarkPalm's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I believe Mark said in another thread last week that the menu didn't change. I'll be heading that way shortly to get dinner and take advantage of the $3 Guinness (assuming that Friday special still remains as well.) I'm surprised that you don't post more often (and hope you're not still crippled.) -
To clarify, IE doesn't have the "copy image location" option (at least not my version of IE8 anyway.) You could alter your directions to include the simpler instructions for the other browsers.
-
If you use Firefox, Opera or Chrome (perhaps other browsers besides Internet Explorer) and right-click on an image, one of the options in the pop-up context menu is Copy Image Location/Address/URL (verbiage varies among the different browsers.)

The file size of any attachment and the total of all attachments per post cannot exceed 250 kilobytes. The attachment will automatically be inserted at the bottom of your post. However, you can insert the attachment into your text area by clicking on "Manage Current Attachments" and clicking on the green plus sign. If the image is already online, you can "hot link" directly to

this song is stuck in my head this morning
November Rain replied to Sadie612's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh, I was expecting that "business up front, party in the back" mullet song you were humming last night. -
The one on the Sweetwater Church side of Hwy 92 is still there, however the one that was in front of the shopping center is gone (looks like landscapers came out.) However, someone else put up a yard sale sign so hopefully that will get people to turn onto Brownsville.

I need to go see if any more signs got mowed over today
-
Hmm, if people are gonna think it's pointing towards Douglasville instead of Brownsville Rd, maybe I need to move the sign or adjust the angle? I used up arrows for the "straight" signs and right or left arrows to indicate a right or left turn at that intersection. I hear you call LPPT quite a bit She actually informed me about using these signs to put my posters on. Click here for directions to the neighborhood yard sale: Lake Buckingham

making yard sale signs, need a few materials
November Rain replied to November Rain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LOL I began making signs last night for the neighborhood yard sale and had a quick panic attack after "I before E except after C" came to mind. I had to run to the computer to make sure that I hadn't misspelled "neighborhood". Yup, hopefully the weather will cooperate so that we can have the neighborhood yard sale this weekend as planned. I haven't posted a "yard sale" thread yet, but it will be in the Lake Buckingham subdivision off of Brownsville Rd, about 1 mile from Hwy 92. The plan is to have it Friday & Saturday, 8 AM - 4 PM. I'd love to meet ya Kelly! -

Darn, I wish I had read this on Monday before I was in the area. What is the price for each sign?
