  1. I don't think so. I drove west on Hwy 278 just after 9 PM and the east-bound lanes in front of the movie theater area was a big lake. I then went south on Hwy 92 and there was water going across the road just after the Hiram-Sudie Rd intersection but it was only a couple of inches deep and I had no problem driving through it. (I think they may have closed the road shortly after I drove by.) Hwy 92 between Bethel Church Rd and Williams Lake Rd (across from the cemetery) the main reason why I'll never have satellite TV again
  2. Channel 2 news just showed a gas station in Hiram (I'm guessing on Hwy 278) with water up to the windows of a couple of cars parked out front.

  4. I drove West on Hwy 278 through Hiram shortly after 9. The East-bound lanes in front of the movie theater area was a big lake, I think water was up to the windows of a car. Came down Hwy 92 and hit the river crossing the road just south of Hiram-Suide Rd by the gas station entrance. Went down Mein Mitchell Rd and encounted water crossing the road. Fortunately, I made it home to read about all the flooding.
  5. Channel 2 news just ran the story. The woman in her 70s was strangled last night by the man she routinely hired as a handyman. She was found this morning during a welfare check.
  6. I had a great experience renting "Chalet Solace at Walnut Mountain" last fall from KZ Cabins.
  7. When in full screen mode, you can also press the Escape key I decided I should try it in IE to make sure. Apparently hitting Escape in Internet Explorer doesn't deactive Full Screen. However, you can toggle it from the Tools menu.
  8. What I did before going to Miami last weekend was go to Restaurant.com and pick restaurants from the list that I could get discounted certificates for.
  9. Mail cannot be delivered to an unsecured mailbox on the ground because it is not considered to be a safe, protective location to leave the mail. Perhaps you learned two things today
  10. Please warn your children that mailboxes are protected by federal law, and vandalizing a mailbox and/or mail is considered a federal offense. Violators can be fined up to $1000 or sentenced to up to three years in jail for each mailbox they vandalize. Somebody had a good time last night knocking down mailboxes and moving them to other people's yards (including placing a mailbox on top of a car) in the Riverwalk subdivision in SE Paulding, however they won't have such a good time in jail if they are caught. Help Prevent Mailbox Vandalism
  11. I looked into it one night a while ago. However, it just seemed odd that a frugal mom who discovered how to whiten teeth by using two cheap products instead of just one would spend a bunch of money advertising her story about the products she supposedly purchased. Then I discovered that there were several similar stories using the same before and after photos, only the names of the person were changed. www.teethwhiteningreviews.com/teeth-whitening-scams.php
  12. From Chapel Hill News & Views, Septemper 2009, page 38. 13. B98.5FM is bringing back wholesome, old-fashion FREE fun with "B at the Movies" Saturday, September 19 Taylor Farm Park "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" giant 45 foot screen festivities start at 7:00 PM movie will begin at sundown More info: http://b985.com/event_guide/batthemovies.html Or call Paulding County Parks & Recreation 770-445-8065
  14. If the package was shipped through USPS, you can give the mail carrier cash with the additional $1.10 money order fee instead of having to run to Publix to purchase the money order yourself and still pay a fee to Publix. However, since you are uncertain if it was shipped UPS or USPS, it wouldn't hurt to have a money order just in case it is UPS. You could also call (or go to) your local Post Office in the morning (around 9 would probably be best) and ask if you have a COD package. 1-800-ASK-USPS
  15. Makes sense, since money orders can be purchased at the Post Office.
  16. Most likely USPS Parcel Post with Collect on Delivery (COD). Either way, someone will need to be home to pay for it. There is a money order fee if you pay in cash instead of check.
  17. This thread is full of humor, not political arguments.
  18. From washing the car at home? Is it an accumulation on the exterior?
  19. how is your well water affecting your car windows?
  20. Eh, I was looking forward to answering a poker question instead of a software question. If it works in another browser (such as Chrome or Opera, or heaven forbid you have to use Internet Explorer), then you'll know it's an issue with Firefox and you should check that you have the latest plugins as ihave2dogs suggested. As for playing poker, I enjoy killing time at
