1. It's really late in the soccer season right now, believe it or not. The time to sign up is late June/early July for fall season. Early January for spring season. I remember when my soccer player was that young - how early I needed to sign up always caught me off guard.
2. I have a couple of theories - completely based upon anectodal distance observation - I will be honest - I never had put anything burning into my mouth and breathed through it. Nor have I have taken any drugs other than for traditional medicinal reasons. But, I have had friends and family that have dabbled in and imprisoned by drug use. 1. They have a propensity for addiction. It doesn't matter what the addiction is - they tend to enjoy or do things with great intensity whether it's food, alcohol, drug, driving fast, etc. 2. They have some kind of perceived reason that they need to
3. Dr. Morris told my skeptical dad that some chiropractors needed to be in the trailer with the snake oil salesmen and tarot card readers. !
4. Funny - are physical therapist quacks too? They include manual manipulations as part of their PT treatment. While - I agree - there is very little scientific evidence, I also acknowledge that it's really difficult to do a double blind study of chiropractic care. And, as I once told my own chiro - if the $10 sugar pill fixed what ailed me, why wouldn't I use the sugar pill? The mind is a very powerful thing. And, if that works - why buck it? But, on the anecdotal side, I do use his services and I take my children. They often encounter gravity through their sports and just knock s
5. We are fortunate to have family and we trade. Depending upon when you need it - my oldest pet sits. We usually host them. I can send you pictures of the ridiculousness. For example - due to misbooking - we had five here for Christmas a couple of years ago. ALL of them and my teenage son were in his twin bed all at one time. I sent pictures to all the owners - you're not going to get that kind of service at a boarders. Also, my brother house sits and babysits dogs. And, he has references. He house/dog sits for a family with multiple cats, a border collie, and two Great Pyrenees
6. Dr. Vaughn does. I've been to one that use a plunger looking thing - it did nothing for me. He has evenings. But, a different doc does his Saturday hours. I haven't been to him.
7. When are you taking her? If you don't mind - I would like to call my cousin that has a farm in N. Ga. She rescues alot of animals. But, more importantly, she has alot of friends that work in the herding trials and obediance trials. I think she has the potential with the correct training to be great at either. Say yes - and I'll make the call.
8. Given her breed - I would start out with the shock setting. When we did this with a lab - my dad (don't laugh - hillbilly PhD physicist) put it on his leg and shocked himself so that he was sure what he was putting on the dog. If she has a thick coat - it will take more shock or you'll have to trim her coat around the collar.
9. USUALLY, if someone is getting mail at your address (like a relative) - they have used you as a reference or an alternate address at some point. My brother used me as an alternate address ONCE about 18 years ago. I get mail for him CONSTANTLY - mostly creditors (which isn't a valid legal debt) - but I get ALOT of mail for him.
10. We had a biting dog when I was growing up. He hated men (including my dad). Believe it or not - he lived until he was 10 years old and had a stroke. My mom just worked with him non stop. When we had parties or people over - he was crated. In the summer - that meant for alot. And, she would tell him why - it's time to crate up - we have people over and you can't play nice. Dogs really don't mind being crated. It may actually help her anxiety level and make her calmer all the other time.
11. I've met Ana Rountree and like her as a person and a parent. Haven't used her professional services. We have used Judy Bagby on a couple of transactions - like her alot. If we had another transaction in the family - we'd use her again. Did you know that she was the first female barred in GA?
12. I NEVER send anything out of the Powder Springs post office. I'm about 50/50 for things getting delivered when I did. My best friend works in Powder Springs and refuses to send anything out of there that doesn't have a return signed receipt. It's bad when you get that kind of reputation. I've also had trouble with Hiram PO with overnight mail. Out of 10 packages - 4 arrived on time. Yes - they refunded my money. But, the documents needed to be there for a meeting. I've never had trouble with Dallas PO - maybe I've been lucky. Now - most of the time - I use the priority mail with
13. False alarm - he was locked in the basement. Why he never barked - I don't know. If he had been upstairs - he would have been pitching a fit to be fed by 5:30 (we get up about 5am).
14. Those of you in the South Davis Mill area - please keep your eyes open for a 25lb black neutered male cocker spaniel. He's got a reflective, red and black collar on with his rabies tag. He got a summer puppy hair cut. I thought he was in bed with oldest last night (black dog, dark brown quilt), but he's not. I'm waiting for it to get light this morning and I'll go look for him. He's figured out how to push the front door open. Hopefully he's just at Abby's house (his friend, I swear - he heads straight there). But, I'm getting a bit worried now.
15. We've seen Jason Vaughn at East Paulding Dr and 92 for years!! Love him. He keeps my kids, me, and my parents put back together.
16. Please, please do. We are having a very hard time penetrating the HOA neighborhoods because, understandably, they have very strict no soliciting policies. By chance, could you PM me which neighborhood? Also, we are considering a fall pine straw sale - could you help us then too?
17. This, I promise, will be the last post of this pine straw sale. But, I wanted to say thank you to everyone that came out and supported our troop and cheerleaders. We had our best sale ever - almost 4000 bales delivered and sold in just two short days. It was amazing!!
18.

Yes - you have to stop taking your antihistimines. Mine won't use nose spray but I don't remember my mom having to stop her nose sprays. Nasonex is a steriod so it wouldn't interfere with a good allergy test. Call Dr. Hurwitz's office. He may be able to develop a plan for you to minimize your time off (and misery) from your meds. I will tell you this - my mom's fibro symptoms have reduced as well since she's been on her allergy shots. Not sure if there is a connection - but it would be great if that were true for you as well.
19.

If you are referring to Center for Allergies and Asthma of West Georgia - they have alot more offices than Hiram and Villa Rica. And, we went to the other big boy that Dr. Hurwitz was with before starting his own practice - they weren't going to allow Dr. Hurwitz to treat my son appropriately. That doc told me that children can't have allergies before they are 4. Couldn't explain the magic number. But, obviously, my son's case was much different. I can find you multitude upon multitude of stories of his good work. The worst I've heard about his d
20. I have a friend that has a quite a few adopted children from the foster care system. And, as those children have grown up and become adults, she's finding herself considering the idea that even a bad home with bad parents is better for the LONG TERM psyche of kids than moving them to new adoptive homes. You can read her blog at BigMommaHollars. She talked about this specific issue about two weeks ago.
21. We see Dr. Hurwitz in Villa Rica. He's been a miracle worker for my youngest (allergic to the entire panel except cats) and my mother (allergic to everything including cats). He was the only one that would acknowledge and treat my son who was truly born with allergies. He was sick from the time he developed RSV - 3 1/2 months - until about 4 years old. We started allergy shots at 26 months and had good control in about 2 years (it took that long because he has some other health quirks too). My mom started seeing him and for the first time in her life - she finally doesn't sound wet. Betwee
22. I grew up next to two Army test bases - constant planes, tank rounds being fired, etc. You don't even notice it. Mom would know when the tank rounds hadn't quite by 3pm that Dad would be late for dinner. People are just CRAZY about this airport stuff. I'm beginning to think that they are just complaining to complain at this point.
23. I had put two pork tenderloins in the crock pot before soccer. They were perfectly done before we headed to cheer. Leftovers for lunch today. I'm putting a whole chicken in the crock pot this morning. We'll have asparagus and creamed corn with it today. !
24. I facebook. I have a twitter and instagram - but it's more to stalk my kids and their friends than it is for my use. A friend had to show me how to use both. !
