Cobb is right next door. Their deficit is 4 times what ours currently is. They are laying off twice as many teachers. All the while: City of Marietta is undergoing some beautfication with new brick inlaid crossings. AND! ::oh gasp:: Cobb is building a new courthouse, aka Taj Mahal. (Dear folks who are paying attention: yes. I know those are from different funds. Just giving an example for those that seem not to know.)

Ranking issues have been explained over and over and over. And, yes, the federal government has done such a good job let's give them control at the local level.

Have you polled every single teacher and reached a majority? Please outline the gross mismanagement. Define "and so forth". Then please outline what will be solved by "boot[ing] 'em out". I'll wait for an intelligent response.

I've never utilized ASP. However, this one (and other ideas of privatizing) make me nervous. That's a lot of direct contact with children that we lose complete control over. And the cost could become completely unaffordable for some parents.

But if the money is going to build new things that we can't afford to maintain, what is the point?

My district seat wasn't running this year.

My family enjoyed today. We came later, so we missed the ribbon cutting. They loved getting in the military helicopter and the men with the copter were very nice. The building is very nice. And they plan on having helicopter rides.

I didn't say HE was arrogant. So, he works part-time. So, the SOS website is correct, he's a student. While I don't agree with Newt's personal choices, you obviously haven't read much from him lately.

His qualification info at SOS stated "student". Is he teaching full-time? He'll have to prove it. Arrogant.

The room mom had the teacher complete a list of her favorite things and sent it home. They've set up a theme for each day of the week, as mentioned above.

I found his Facebook page. Is that really him with the fuzzy hair? If he is so interested in education, why didn't he begin his political career with the school board?

All I saw on his website were email addresses and phone numbers for him and his out of state campaign manager.
