One of the things my daughter asked Santa for was the Candy Jewel Maker. Kind of like an Easy Bake Oven but it makes candy jewelry. Well we open it, get out the molds, candy sprinkles etc. and put the molds in the "oven", set the timer and wait. Come back and it is completely cold, nothing happened. So I read the "fine print" in the directions and the stupid light bulb isn't even included! I can understand not having batteries, but the bulb? And it isn't a standard bulb that you just have around the house. It's a skinny little candelabra (sp?) bulb. DD was pretty disappointed. Then

What was the biggest hit in your house this morning?
DoubleRose replied to JBrigman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I tried to call you! Glad he finally got his own Bat cave!! So P likes the DS? "I" loves the DSi and he got a video game chair that plays the sounds through speakers in the chair. He is cracking me up. Just like a little 7 year old MAN. He hasn't gotten out of that chair. He loves it. It's like an old man with a recliner. "C" loved the 4 wheeler but when we finally took it outside, I think it kind of freaked her out. It goes pretty fast. She went in the garage and got her old tricycle. We could have just put a bow on that I guess! She got a ton of art supplies and paints -
What about the toothpaste holder thing that sticks to the mirror? Anyone tried that? I have wanted one for my kid's bathroom. They are forever getting toothpaste on the counter.

Good luck, I can't figure it out either. A long time ago I blocked other people's Farmville posts from showing up on my wall because I didn't play. Now I do and can't figure out how to un-block it.

Teen just got hit by car from while leaving the parade
DoubleRose replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We had a great time at the parade. Parking was a nightmare, and my kids actually missed being on the float they were supposed to ride on because we couldn't find anywhere close enough to park. BUT, they probably had more fun watching than they would have had riding. They didn't even care about the candy. Two sweet young girls next to us kept trying to give my kids candy because their bags were mostly empty, but they didn't even want it. I didn't see anyone freaking out trying to get candy. I did see some rude people walking down the street with the parade who were not in it. Other than -
If my child was that sick, I would get them to a doctor ASAP. Either urgent care, or E.R. Also it is unacceptable that the Dr. never called you back all day and that you have waited 40 min for an after hours call back. Hope he feels better soon! ETA: Sorry, just saw your last post. I would call the office again and again until they call you back.

I guess I got lucky with our cat, but his regular litter box just doesn't smell that bad. I use the Tidy Cats litter with the orange top for "small spaces", and it is kept in the basement. That is the best smelling litter I've ever used. I've heard several people say their cats wouldn't use the auto box.

potty trained child suddenly pooping in their pants
DoubleRose replied to myrlin's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Last year my daughter was 3 and not trained yet. She wanted to go to school with her brother but I told her not until she started using the potty. It worked. Then, a few months later she regressed and began having accidents all the time. I think any life change (school, home, new brother or sister, etc..) can cause this. It is totally normal and I wouldn't worry. It won't go on forever. I promise! Oh, and like another poster suggested, constipation could be an issue. My daughter went through horrible problems with it. Good Luck! -
Ok here is the brand new official video! It is amazing. Sorry I don't know how to make the video show up, but here's the link. It will be on CMT! Hope you like!!! http://bamajamrecords.com/thecall/

C is still wetting the bed too. She is fine all day, but it happens a couple times a week. I put a pull up on her because most nights she is in I's bed and I don't want them both to wake up covered in pee. Gross.

Yeah, I don't ever listen to country. But I do think he has a unique voice which is rare these days, and that a lot of people will relate to the song. Hopefully it will be a hit!!!

My cousin, Matt Kennon, has his first single out. It is called "The Call" and he wrote it himself. He will be performing at the Grand Ole Opry later this month, and is also doing a concert with Kelly Pickler. "The Call" is already on the radio in other cities, but I don't think it is in Atlanta yet.. Check out the song and if you like it, call in and request it! He is a great guy and has worked very hard. He deserves this success!! I am so happy for him! Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sz-HiOX10 http://www.facebook.com/reqs.php#/event.php?eid=163021559053&ref=mf

I agree.. but he cheated on his wife, so does that blow all his credibility too? To me it does.

Is there any site where I can see the whole show? Was she the only guest? I haven't watched Oprah in forever, but would like to see this one all the way through..
-
I didn't see the show, but heard about it on The Bert Show this morning. I was just wondering the other day what happened with her situation and if she survived. I just looked it up on Youtube, and WOW. I am so sad for this woman. She is so disfigured it is unreal. Here's a link, but warning.. If facial disfiguration upsets you, don't watch. This is the most severe I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMT-5ygCxaM&feature=related It's sad to me that she kept thinking she would see again, not knowing that her eyes had been removed.

I don't know how you guys survive. My oldest is only in first grade and I already have nightmares about them driving. I won't let them drive alone until I'm confident in their ability, but just knowing there are crazy/drunk/stupid drivers out there is going to make me lose my mind. I know it.
