  1. Would have, should have, could have. But like much of David Austin's administration, this was all done as quietly and secretly as they could in order to keep the public ignorant of what was actually going on. And/or Blake Swafford just decided to do it all on his own. He was never qualified for his job and will not be missed. I hope Terry Tibbets can pick up the ball and run with it. As I recall, one side on the EPA issue has already notified the county they will not accept the Assessment from the company Blake hired to do it. They have blatant conflicts of interest with the rules a
  2. T-Bones, and Eye of Round Steaks, cut and ground with loin back fat. O my God Becky, they are some good burgers. I ground and packaged 36 6+ ounce burgers, then added a pound and a half of ground lamb about the same amount of ground beef for meatballs, and then the last of the ground beef for meatballs. We are set on burgers and meatballs for a few months. You just need to shop with your eyes open wide and look for the deals. $2.84 for TBones is a pretty good deal.
  3. Thank you Todd, and the other 3 commissioners for calling King David out on this one. And thanks for getting the county employees an increase, even if it is a paltry one. David, don't let the door hit you too hard in the ass on your way out.
  4. The produce selection, and seafood makes the trip worthwhile. We will be able to have sashimi sushi more often. I will only use fresh fresh product for eating raw. Lots of oriental veggies, latin fruits, and stuff like tomatillos for half of the Big K store. Yucca, shrooms, tofu, sprouts, etc. Savalot is the place for meat though. Hands down.
  5. Thabk you Whitey fir your comments and kudos yo the 4 commidsioners fir getting the paultry 3%. But uts better than nothing. And just what dies King David get fior a salary ?
  6. This is the same outfit that runs the larger Buford Highway Farmers Market. Veggies are very reasonable. Especial off the wall stuff lile leeks. Avocafos are a deal. And we like a lot of the Asian veggies. Ducks are the best price in town as are chicken hearts and oyher organ meats. Miso, green tea, etc are much cheaper. I will stop on once a week to check out what they have. Saveslot is diagonally across the street. They have great mest prices. I just finished cutting ip 25+# of Tbones thin cut for RFQS at $2 84/# and eye of round for $1.75. I will grind the tomorrow with so
  7. Finishline on Thornton Rd did a great job on my 84 Benz, and we learned why our "gray" Benz had "Blue" on the title. But it was not cheap. They used the Vin# to spec the paint.
  8. Happy Birthday LR!!!! And a Happy 8th Bitthday to my granddaughter Camila!!!
  9. Typical Paulding. Topic is for new budinesses needed. And tutns to 2000 more houses with occupants who will have to work elsewhere. Go figure.
  10. As long as the BOC pays THE FIRM to litigate, you can bet your ass they will continue to file motions and appeals.
  11. What a nice dinner for such a freaking hot day. Cold potatoe onion soup [leeks] with a Turkey/Ham/Salami and swiss cheese on a hard roll. Good stuff!!!! Bon Apetite' Y'all !!!!
  12. I understand they had a hearing on some of the motions, etc., yesterday in court. Inquiring minds just wondering what happened?????
  13. Whem Trump paints ALL muslims as eviil terrorists, and it is obvious they ALL are not, and many have served in our armed firces honorably, then it is indeed our responsibility to point that out. Like it or not that needs to be pointed out to those who dont grasp the facts. Not all muslims are evil terrorists. The man in question was very much a hero who saved the lives of his unit. He is very much desrving of our gratitude and praise and his myslim family should not have to endure the rath of Trump because he and his family were not Baptists ir Methodists or anything else. He proved himself t
  14. For me, you totally missed the point. Trump has taken a broad brush and has painted ALL muslims as evil ISIS terrorists and suggested banning them from the USA. This was I think meant to be an objective lesson that ALL muslims are NOT bad. As I understood this Captain gave his life to protect the rest of his unit. Wherher it was last week or 12 years ago he was a commissioned officer in our military and performed above and beyond his call to duty. And he was muslim. Do we throw all of them off the cliff because 2% are rotten to the core? Or do we embrace them and welcome their
  15. We caught Niagra on our way home from Canada summer of 1996, and spent a full day their. Ride the boat and get wet if the weather is warm. It is a special place. I have an uncle that lives about an hour away where we then stayed for several days and went fishing on lake Ontario.
  16. Cannot have a write in for a runoff. Only the top 2 vote getters fir that race in that primary. In this one Republican only. But someone qualified with a simple name, easy to remember and spell correctly could have a shot in November. If Pcom could be cranked up as the local election information place it could reach out to a wider audience. If we can figure out how to muzzle Pubby and stop the insults and personal attacks from all concerned? Too much to ask for another chance with a better suited candidate in November? I do not know, but am doubtful a valid peace treaty co
  17. 11 billion in bankruptcy debts forgiven. Says a lot of what he stands for.
  18. It POURED here yesterday just as I put my big ol round roast on the grill to sear. So I got to stand under a patio umbrella covering the grill to prevent it from cooling off..... With the rain drenching my back for 15 minutes. Drenched to the bones, but my roast came out perfect and delicious!!! Bob Apetite and welcome to the rain.
  19. Yall are out if touch with realty. Brasil now owns more than half of our meat industry. China owns a third. This us a perishinle product that has time limits fir shipping. Our foriegn trade pacts are critical to sgipping beef, chicken, et al to customers around the globe. It cannot be turned in ir iff in a political whim without severe repercussions to us. What The Trumpeter is proposing is ludicrous. Disaster for our meat industry and worse
  20. I do know that 92-2001 were our best years ever with Surepip Gatchery Equipment. And ditto for the poultry industry in general. 01-08 we slid down hill and we clised shpo in 06, scared of what was coming. 01-2008 we had over 50% if our USA poultry companies in bankruptcy. When the dust settled, Brasilian Korean and Mexican furm bought about 55% of our poultry and China bought one if the biggest pork producer. Coincidence? You tell me. Id like to see us return to the prosperity of the 1990s. Welcome back Bill. Keep an eye on the wife
  21. Yes an aquired taste I developed years ago. But you have to grow your own to have ut right. What you get in the stores is limb and for the most part tasteless. Freshly harvested, washed and chilled it is unique. And it pairs with the sweetness of duck so well. But, it is hell on my coumadin blood thinner. Ut is so rich in viramin K it lowers my INE level dangerously. But uts so giid I wat it anyway and up the coumadin. Duck is all gonw now. Bin Appetite!!
  22. You just can't let it go. You really need to grasp the fact that Hillary did nothing wrong concerning Ben Gazi.. Ask Congress why they cut the State Department budget so badly there was no money for additional military presence, and the closest "rescue" teams were more than 2 hours away. They all knew it would be futile at that point, sending in more lives to be killed. Get over it and move on. Support your Trumpet, and let it go.
  23. Where is the Republican Leadership ? And WHY was Trump on stage the opening night ? Best I recalled the candidates did not generally appear at the opening ceremonies.
  24. We are finishing the Patos, Ducks, off tonight. Dayam they are good. I picked another $10 of arugula today to go with them, and it is washed and getting crunchy crisp in the lettuce spinner in the fridge. Does anyone else in P.com land eat arugula ? I discovered it in Brasil 25 years ago, and fell in love with it. Back then you could not find the seeds here, and I used to bring them back with me. It is a staple on the Chuhascaria Salad Bars [like Fogo du Choa and other Brasilian eateries]. We stumbled on to the marraige of arugula and duck in France, where that is a typical dish
  25. We love duck. So much flavor compared to chicken and turkey. Geese are pretty darn good too. I am learning the new grill. Both the underneath burners and the back rotisserie infared burners are hotter than my old grill. These 2 ducks cooked in 1 hour. Yes, I steamed them for 5 minutes 2 days before and let them rest with kosher salt and pepper in the spare fridge. Rubbed them with ABC Soy Sauce and Toasted Sesame oil, skewered them ass to ass, and let the rotisserie do the rest. Finger licking good just does not describe the flavor. And we had a huge mound of cold crunchy f
