  2. How many would sign a petition for a viable, vetted, candidate to run as an Independent ?
  3. We sat with David Carmichael while he was running for his first post seat, in OUR post, in our living room and explained to him the history of how the coutnty water department, and Mickey Womble's Plumbing contractors, Tippins, [as in State Senator Lindsey Tippins], contaminated our water and then initiated a county water department coverup to hide the face our water was contaminated, sending my wife and daugher to the hospital. The county water departement and the BOC continued the coverup then, and have continued the coverup since then to protect county officials and people like Mickey Womb
  4. Was the money paid back ? We always assumed since it was under John Hall's watch, Mickey Womble's protoge, that all would be swept under the carpet and hidden, So how do we find out what happened ?
  5. I stood in David Austins office and was told he was going to dismiss THE FIRM, back in 2009. Unequivicably, he said Paulding was going to start up their own legal department and not pay the highway robbery fees that had been paid to THE FIRM by his predecessors. So why don't we have our own county legal department ? We are paying multimillions per year to THE FIRM, for what I see as rather shoddy legal work. Even my old attorney Glen Stinson could do a much better job than Richardson and company. But we keep paying millions and millions per year, when we could hire a damn good le
  6. OK, now that Carolynn Wright, or whatever her current married name is, has moved on, can we ever find out what happened with the chamber bookkeeper Kendra Boyd, while John Hall was the elected president for that term, and the missing $50,000+, best that I recall. John Hall was Miceky Womble's protégé, and Mickey was our Palisades ROBBER BARON MEGA DEVVELOPER nemesis. She was fired, but we never found out if the money was recovered, and or if she went to jail for her crimes. Best I recall, this all came to pass right after Skip Teaster left the chamber as the director, and Carolyn Wrigh
  7. I am jealous. We always had some early cheater tomatoes that came in the first week of June, but I guess without my raised beds those days are gone forever. We should have some next week.
  8. Gorgeous short ribs, a big bunch, that have been airing in the other fridge for days. Browned them well, added stock, and red wine, onions, garlic, and shrooms, and will let them simmer. Twice baked taters which we have not done in ages. Parsley, chives, bacon, cheese, sour cream, and butter packed back into fried empty tater skins, sprinkle or 2 of cheese and into the over. Fresh Green Beans. Sure wish I had a garden tomato!!!!! What are you fixing tonight ? Bon Apetite Y'all !!!
  9. Son in laws parents are here from Mexico. We did Destin last week where Melissa and I scored on a party boat fishing with old friends and caught 80-90 pounds of Trigger Fish and Snapper. We have all been back since Thursday night last week and Cruz, my SIL's mom, and I have been trading off cooking. She did a BLACK peppered, I assume a Mole' of sorts pork dish tonight that had a giant pot of Ancho chiles and Quauaquill chiles and some others that she cooked down to a paste and then braised the pork pieces in it. Not spicy at all, but full of totally new and pleasant flavors!!!
  10. First, remember that the EEC, South America, Australia, et al, pay very, very close attention to our politics. It determines much of the economic shifts worldwide. Everyone in all of these countries who do international business are concerned with what the Chinese do. They are basically a 1/3 of the worlds population, and they have to eat. They absolutely cannot feed themselves, or come anywhere close to doing so. They require our meat, and grain in order to survive. They devalue their currency to sell the manufactured junk here, but in the process they make the food they buy from us
  11. For those who don't recall, Blake was hired as DOT director even thougn his supposed expertise was airports. But King Jerry needed a staff member to put together all the original filings and applications with the FAA, do site selections for various places to put the airport and do the legwork. Which he did, and did well at. Scott Greene covered his ass with the DOT doing what the DOT director should have been doing. Blake and King Jerry were working on this in 2001, 2002. They had their site selections by 2003/2004 and we started having community meetings on where to put the airport
  12. A privately owned jewler store will offer the best price for the stone and setting.
  13. We recently switched from AT&T Uverse and DSL to AT&T Direct TV and DSL, Savings were substantial. The Direct TV is $50 a month for the medium package......local stations and some to most of the DIY, Food, SciFi, etc., and 3 months of free movie channels, something like 65 channels of HBO, Cinemax, etc. So far we are pleased although the original paperwork and time on the 800 line was excruciating. I got 2 $100 coupons in Cirect TV credits if anyone wants them. If you use them and sign up, I get a $100 credit as well, which I will gladly take. Anyone interested ? T
  14. An all out trade war with China would bankrupt most of our meat production industry. The devaluation of their currency has not slowed their purchase of US chicken and pork, let alone grains and other foods. This is one of the largest industries in the USA. The big poultry companies have 100,000 employees/contract workers. Shut downs would cause a domino effect of bankruptcies unprecedented in our history. Bear in mind these are perishable products that would not find another buyer right off the bat.
  15. Claxton is a great company, and 1 of only 3 Georgia owned poultry companies remaining. Georgia used to have local ownership of 25+ different poultry companies, but they have all been bought out by Tyson, Perdue, Pilgrims, etc. Tip Top only processes spent hens......no broiler or fryers. Their killing plant is set up to kill the 60 week old broiler breeder hens and roosters who have a live wieghts of 10# and more. I have never seen anything from Tip Top in less than whole birds. The Rockmart plant is a cooking facility where they make primarily bouillon cubes and cubed processed meat f
  16. No raw chicken processed in China is coming here......yet. Yes they process chicken, and a lot of it, but for their own domestic market. And they are a net massive importer of chicken, and pork, beef, turkey, etc. Every bag of chicken, or the label has to have a USDA plant number in order to be sold in the grocery stores. Even if the meat is processed, or cooked in another country, it still has to show the plant the bird was killed at, and the plant cooking/processing it also has to meet all USDA requirements and inspections. You can google USDA Plants, and look up the number, and it w
  17. Yes I have, many times. Mainly in a Hearty stew with deer, rabbit, etc. The hind quarter is the only "Bite" of meat, everything else is nibbles. Note, squirrels are rodents [can you say Rats?] so I am not overly fond of eating them.
  18. I used to trap them like that, and then try to teach them to swim in a big tub like sink. Not a single one ever learned how to swim with the trap. Every one of them died while trying though.
  19. teriyake, ABC sauce [indonesian Ketchup, but not tomatoes, more like a syrup soy], wine, garlic, pepper And they were very, very tasty!
  20. Lettuce and arugula this week, along with the herbs.
  21. Even the last chamber report showed only 55 jobs at the "Commercial" airport. But fails to mention the $50,000,000 required from the taxpayers to do the work to earn that commercial license, baggage handling, security, fencing, TSA workers, and the list goes on. Now add to that number a fudge factor to take into account the FACT that the BOC, PCAA, and Blake Swafford lied and have been absolutely full of bull cheese every time they "told us it would not cost the taxpayers one dime"!!!! $70 million, and another $50Millon, to create 55 jobs ? Assinine at best. Build spec industr
  22. And Bill C was not from a wealthy or even solid middle class family. His mom got by, and he earned a Rhodes Scholarship. Not too shabby for a poor ass white boy. Yes, he has the womanizer ego, but I credit him, and Hillary for the fact they sought counseling, are still married, and did a pretty good job with Chelsey's education. All 3 of them have some superb educations not attained by many these days, I just don't understand all the bashing bashing bashing. Did Bill do wrong with Lewinsky? Hell yes, and paid the price from what I understand. And Hillary is still standing beside him.
  23. OK, for my fuzzy tailed rats in my yard in Paulding, I simmply dispateched themm with the 16 or 12 gauge, good for 60 yards or so, Now I am dealing with a neighborhood where a pellet gun is really my only option besides a slingshot. I am a good shot, but short range pellet shooting will be new to me. I want to go with a scope to be able to set it for a certain range, and then compensate for shorter or longer shots. Suggestions of what I need ?
  24. I used to call Clay, somehow associated with greystone 678 449 9289
  25. Sav A Lot had round steak on sale a few weeks back and I loaded up. Got several pounds "Cubed". Have them resting in a marinade and will fry/saute them, with some onions and gravy with mashed taters, fresh beans, fried green tomatoes and more. We have the Mexican in-laws here so that wil be a change for them [we had chicken/chook enchiladas last night. Who is fixing what tonight? Bon Apetite Y'all !!!
