  1. Oh come on now dude, I know you can open your eyes wider than that. Hot soup is great.....when its 40F outside. Cold soup is even better, when it is 95F outside. And you would open your horizons to a new taste sensation. I have to ask......did you ever eat anything at my house you did not like ?

    Direct TV

We went from Uverse to Direct / ATT the end of April. They lowered the Uverse rate, and the DSL, for a 2 year deal. So far so good. I went on and signed up fpr automatic billing, and that has not worked yet,. I still have to go on line and pay my bill, and their system recognizes my computer address from long ago, tied in with my old land line number in Dallas. But it is much superior to what we had in Dallas for less monthly costs.
  3. And they are giving those same builders permits today to build more houses. And, the same attorneys for THE FIRM are charging the County to secure the guarrantee bonds, that they failed to properly secure for the same builders 10-15 years ago. Oh, and THE FIRM represents most of these buiilders as their LLC or Corporation registered agents. Can you say double dipping ? Getting paid to produce, and getting paid to not persue when they defaulrt. Why can't we have our own county law department that only represents the county ? No builders. No airport manager companies. No NOBOD
  4. Vishysouisse is a famous French Potato Leek Onion soup that is very strong. When finished cooking it, you run it though a blender or use the boat motor and puree it to a sliky smooth finish. Then chill, and serve about 1 part soup and 1 part creme, with some nutmeg on top and croutons. A really nice refreshing accompanyment to a sandwich, salad etc. I have also had many other cold soupts the are wonderful. Tomato Cucumber Melon Black Bean [with a big dollop of Creme Fraische on top] For this my favorite is to make a big batch of Fegoada, the Brasilian black bean ste
  5. Your dad was JT ? or JC? I was thier best customer from when the Hiram store first opened until I shut down my business in 2006. Your dad picked me up often, from my house on Palisades/Paris Road, or my office in the North Industrial Park. I always teased him when they build the subdivision around me in Palisades, and put in a Traffic Go Round......because he would cut the corner to the left, instead of going around the circle. Please tell him Hello! from Thad Morrison, and Yes, I agree Jenna was the best.

  7. Across the board, every doctor we were involved with said over and over, If Melissa had not stayed on the staff, to the point of annoyance and even harrassing them, .....that I would not be here. Simple but stupid screw ups. Kennestone sends me to Windy Hill for R&R recovery, and 24 hours later Melissa learns that no orders came along with me, so they had been giving me no meds, pain pills, etc., or doing anything else in the way of therapy. Melissa kept telling the nurses something was not right with my feeding tube. When the male nurse gave me my meds that night, and pushed
  8. Cold Potato Soup, [Vichysouisse] with croutons, salad, and Bacon Lettuce [garden] tomatoes sandwiches. A no heat simple supper perfect for HOT weather. Does anyone else ever do cold soups ? Granddaughter always has to hae her's warmed up. Bon Apetite Y'all !!!
  9. Thanks!!! I am finally making progress both with the meds I am on now, and with the physical therapy although he works me hard. The burn and discomfort are tolerable and lets me know I am building back muscle strength in my legs. So does anyone know how to get records out of Wellstar?
  10. After my medical debaucles, and dying 3 times in a Wellstar hospital the past 2 years, I thought maybe I should speak out. I closed my business in 2007, and Melissa had gone to work for the state. We had our insurance via her job. She put up with her AH boss for years, and his holding her back from transfers within the Ag Department and she finally just quite in 2012. And her boss was able to get her Cobra coverage all screwed up so that come 2 months later we found out we had NO insurance. When we tried to get back on with United Health, BCBS, etc., they "pre-existed" my Osteo Art
  11. Pork boston butt on the new grill rotisserie. Winderful!!! Moist and tender.
  12. Like I tried to say: Raw eggs are fine, but they should be USDA. Grade A. And should be fresh and having been in the fridge strait ftom the store.

  14. We knew Jenna Wall very well. She was the manager at Enterprice car rental in Hiram for several years in the early 2000s. We used to rent a truck for deliverying egg santizers every other week for years. Jenna was a sweetheart and a great customer service provider, not to mention she was gorgeous. Her husband was working as a deputy for the Paulding Sheriff's department back then. After she had her kids, best I recall, she transferred to Enterprise Corporate but still worked out of one of the offices in the back of their building in Hiram. And she called on us as a corporate accou
  15. Do you cook the custard first, or put the raw egg mixture into the ice cream freezer ? Because of the potential liability issues at hand, all the egg handlers, cooks, producers, etc., will insist on cooking. We now have to deal with Salmonella Enteritidus, a nasty critter the lives in the ovaries of the hen. She lays a perfectly normal egg, clean, meeting all standards, but inside of it can be X number of SE colony forming units. At room temperature, these will multiply from 2, 4, 16, 256, 65,000+ in a matter of hours. At 100,000 things can get dicey for someone that has a weakened i
  16. We had duck sluced and served on a huge pile iof arugala from Melissas gutter garden on the deck, with 2 NICE tomatoes from the plants Whitey gave us. Would have been $35 a plate from a resturant. We adapt to our curcumstances and our gutters with lettuce, arugula, herbs, and beans soon to come are doing the job. Not near what our 25 year old raised bed garden priduced, but doing quite well thanks to my wife's hard wirk.
  17. Me TOO!!!! And we got a hell of a deal on the last one they had which is just what we wanted and what we had before. It will go nice on Melissa's Gutter Garden Deck And I won't cringe having to crank up the kitchen stove in hot weather. Does anyone know a good place to get good pallets other than Home Depot ? We are looking for 6 or 7 44"x46" or in that range to build a bar on the deck with. And then get a counter top for it. I have my commercial gas range out there ready to incorporate into the bar where I can use my giant burners for makiing soup stock or broth, and cann
  18. Melissa fixed Eggs Benedict for Breakfast for all. And it was wonderful!!! Perfect poached eggs on sliced ham on buttered toasted English Muffins, covered with Hollandaise Sauce. Devine. For dinner we are having saute'd Duck, Breasts and Legs separated, and braised in marinade and chardonnay. Served on a bed of black & white rice, and fresh picked and chilled arugula salad, with the sauce. Life is good!! Oh, Oh, Oh, and Melissa got be a grill for Father's Day. Our old grill was about toast, or worst when we left Paulding, and we have only had a tiny smaller than a Hibachi
  19. When Disney first opened in the Orlando area, the american alligator was on the endangered list on the verge of extinction. Hunting and trapping were stopped, and their come back story is one of the finest examples of man stepping in and protecting a habitat in such a way that these creatures are now over populated and spreading their range as far as cold winter temperatures allow. Fencing will possibly help, but posting obvious danger signs with drawings of alligators and policing any lagoon areas will help, but not completely stop them. They will simply crawl out of one lake, cross the
  20. I know Interroll did hire a lot of locals. Many of their jobs are skilled such as machine operators, welders, etc. i do know they were trying to hire locals.
  21. Now stop to consider, just how many executive VPs we have living out near Cedar Crest, The Frog, and other High End neighborhoods. These guys are the ones in a position to have their warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, etc. etc., with 10,000, to 100,000 square feet, and 10 to 100 employees. Now, they drive to Kennesaw, Marietta, North Atlanta, and the list goes on. But they have the authority, and priveledge of moving their company's plant to Paulding, 5 minutes from their home instead of 30, 60 or more driving. But, and this is what the ASSHATS in charge just w
  22. Sorry, but I have been a peoponent of indystrail business growth from day ONE. I had a manufacturing busineds here wirh 16,000 SF of space and 25 employees for 15+ years. I have wasted countless hours and days trying to bring in othee cincerns and the BOC and IBA have stopped ebery attempt. Why? Yiu tell me. The ANYI growth people uou cintibue to rsil against are not against all progressive attemprs at bringing in nusiness, but they are against spending more and more to promote a commercial airport that woll be a continued failure.
  23. There are no buildings or even build able lots for any Wannabees to move into Subject is moot until the IBA gets iff their ass and gets lits and buildings built.
  24. A hot bag of hot air, and not much else. My European, South American and Australian associates all collectively think the USA has totally lost all credibility with this joker as the GOP nomination. They are shaking their heads in disgust.
