Genuine Auto Parts with the NAPA brand replacement parts was the first competition GM, Ford, or any of the rest of them encountered during the early 1960s. Other than a few auto parts places that sold custom stuff to let you supe up your engine, you really had no choice but to use the to obtain parts. GM took Genuine Auto Parts all the way to the Supreme Court trying to stop them. They knew they were riding a gravy train and did not want it to stop. The court ruled as long as Genuine Auto Parts was not leading the customer to believe that they were buying authorized OEM parts, they could

They must have had adult gay penquins influence them because we all know that no one is genetically born gay. You have to be "made into a gay" in order to be homosexual.

Living just before the end of a 1/2 mile straightaway gravel road, with a cul-de-sac, our mailbox used to get smashed almost monthly. They would start at the end of the cul-de-sac, peeling off fast, and bash it as they went by. Got to where I would just pick up the bashed aluminum box, and set it back on the post. My shop foreman saw it one day when he was by my house, and the following week he brought a couple of the guys by with a large steel box the depth of a mailbox, but about 12" wide and 12" tall welded to an 8' long 4" round steel pipe. The mailbox slid into the steel box and was

Why not shop at home, on p.com.... TBAR. That boy ain't right has done lots of local weddings, including several right on the Dallas Square, and one by the entrance to our Japanese Garden at our house. And, I am not certain, but you could try Pastor Matt as well.

We started mailing both of ours to either Mexico or Brasil when they were 10, although for both, the first time we had a friend they were actually accompanying back. Still had to do all the paperwork though as the adults were not their legal anything. Next year though each went alone, with the paperwork in an envelope tied on a lanyard around their necks. Normally I would go and work for a week where ever they were, and come back with them. Needless to say, by the time each was a teenager they were seasoned international travelers. Delta was our normal carrier and we never had a

My dad and granddad were both Orthodontists [i decided I had no patients with the patients]. I am way out of date on current pricing, but that does not sound out of line. However, you cannot compare your child's teeth, and the costs to another child's teeth and the costs. The only way to compare is to see another Orthodontist and other than for peace of mind, you are really too late as I imagine you committed to a contract. But if you really HAVE to know, then go see another Orthodontist and ask what he would have charged. I do remember when I was a child, they had a big

Hey Feelip, Want to guess what King Jerry and his band of merrymen on the Commission have paid out to their lawfirm [who also was a major contributor to King Jerry and many, many the other GOP members around the state ????] to defend the BOC and the developer against our lawsuits ?????? As of January 31, 2009, the Paulding BOC has paid the lawfirm of Holland & Knight $749,215.54 to defend themselves in our lawsuits to protect, hide, cover up or ???? the following: Ben Skipper's old Community Development Office for ignoring the special zoning stipulations we were granted at P&am

We knew Joycie and Chuck, his parents. 2 of the nicest, sweetest people to ever come down the pike. We have a really nice framed Lockheed poster modeled after the Frend Impressionists from an airshow in France which we bought at a yard sale that Chuck had donated so we get to think of them often when I walk by it. Rest in peace Kevin.

Can we borrow some next time we are going shark fishing in the gulf ?

If your assessment remains the same, you are going to see several increases over last year NOT including an increase in the county operating unless they can pull some rabbits out of the hat. I have not done the math, but I would assume a $200,000 house will see and increase of $500 or so over last year, and maybe more.
-
Oh, but Mr Richardson and company will swear on a stack of their GOP Bibles they did not raise your property taxes, and they would be correct. What they did was decided not to renew a tax credit you got through the State, so every property owner would see an increase in what they have to pay by $200 to $300. Now, add to that the green space tax the voters approved 2 years ago. And the School Bonds the voters turned down on the first vote and approved on the 2nd vote [all of you who approved this one know who you are]. And a new bond payment for the courthouse/administration

And how much county money has been spent on the administration side for the airport so far ? And other funding from the county which we were promised would not be even one penny ? We were duped again on this one. It may help out down the road, but so far it has done nothing for the county except cost money from a budget which is already short on cash.

Believe what you want BB, but if you could not read that handwriting on the wall then I have to assume you are blind. Sonny's bass fishing fiasco in middle Georgia continued to the tune of what.....$45 million. But Paulding's terminal building got axed out on a line item veto and you don't think Richardson-Perdue politics were involveved ???? Girl, I have some wonderful mountain top beach front property available in Kansas.......are you interested ?
-
The Governor vetoed the funding for the building because of our illustrious Speaker of the House and their private feud. Seems our Speaker, and local rep forgot some of the basic rules of politics when it comes to local grown pork projects. Don't bite the had that signs the funding bills!!! Then add to that our lack of available fuel at the new airport. Seems our "Airport Authority" did not order the fuel tanks until long, long, long after they should have. Maybe we will have them installed and working in time for the 1st Anniversary of our Paulding Airport opening up. Wonder what t

I don't think the OP obtained the sympathy and empathy for his distain of our law enforcement community from the p.com audience at large. I welcome a greater presence of officers along the silver comet and look forward to riding more without having to peer over my shoulder every time I pass a group of unsavory looking punks.

Thank you for obtaining clarification Pubby. An interview with Blake Swafford would still be nice to get the low down on what they are building, when, with what funding for the terminal building, hangers, and whatever they are planning for the industrial development between the airport and 278. -

It would be nice if Pubby could get Blake Swafford to provide the actual details. As I stated above, there was funding to purchase the land coming from the Feds. Now, if that was for 500+ or 350 acres would have to be confirmed, as well as the price. My guess would be the Feds will cover the original $2.5 million, and possibly some of the other. But, I have the feeling the taxpayers will end up paying both the extra $700,000 plus the 150 acres they plan to use between the airport and 278. But, I do believe I recall the county obtaining a grant for all or part of that purchase as well. -

Sounds to me like the County got out of this one "OK", and the plantiff got $700,000 more than he was originally offered by the county before they condemned the land and took it. And, I am assuming this dollar amount will still be covered, at least for the most part, by one or more of the FAA grants for building the airport as per all of the original budget outlines. Of Course if the $700,000 has to come from the county general fund, then this will be even more money "WE" are spending on the airport even though King Jerry and Prince Blake swore up and down to the taxpayers of Paullding th -

Yes, Pubby, by all means. I appreciate you getting David's speech. I got tied up at the office at 11:30 and had to miss the luncheon. King Jerry got his palace, the Sheriff's department got nothing, and the taxpayer got the bill. If you look close inside the administration building there are plenty of glitches visible which will cost plenty to fix. Yes, I picked up on the dissing, but it is unfortunate we will be paying for this Palace now, with the economy the way it is. Great story. -
No offense Animal, but I will wait for Pubby's report tomorrow evening.
-
I picked up on the JS jokes. I just have to assume after finding no gas, no tower, no nothing but a dragstrip, the aliens flew the coop. Maybe they will come back when the airport is REALLY finished.

Lawn Mower Repairs and tuneups, great week for it

I highly recommend Subby for all your small engine repairs. He got my Ryobi power unit running again and I got the decorative grasses along the driveway pruned and the garden beds tilled. And he ain't bad on the piano as well. -
