Back to Chicago...with all his Liberal buddies and good 'Ol Pastor Wright..no doubt! Hey boys...c'mon on over, we'll smoke cigars and play Texas Hold'em...

You never disappoint me...Once again you have totally missed the discussion! Setting an example is what she has tried to do...and failed miserably each and every time...I wonder who's caring for that vegetable garden that we heard so much about? Somehow I just can't see PBo in overalls and a straw hat. Wait...wait I did recently see a pix of him like that...Let's see now...where did I put that? Here it is:

Nothing wrong with displaying your wealth...but to do it in this fashion, during these economic times, shows a very low class upbringing. Properly raised folks would not be so obvious. Laura Bush has way too much class to even think of doing this! The current residents of the WH are classless..They have no idea of what class really means! They are typical, aloof, insensitive, eliteists with no sense of compassion what-so-ever! To make this such a blatent, in-your-face, expression of we're us and not you...is apalling to a great many people. Then to follow it up with another v

You do realize that you helped pay the airfare...Air Force 2 US to Spain and return $178,000.00. Accomodations at the resort are $2,500/night for a modest suite. After the first lady returns home, she and her family will soon head out for another vacation. They will travel to the Gulf Coast for the weekend of Aug. 14, followed by a 10-day vacation on Martha's Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. But hey...it's only money...YOUR MONEY!

Not if it had been level on the wall! Digital thermostats still have a 1 degree dead band...the mercury switch stats had a 2 degree dead band...1 degree. During this weather...several minutes of additional runtime might be required to satisfy the set point of the older stats...lots of factors affect this; placement of the thermostat in relation to outside walls, windows, return air path etc...Also the amount of insulation and type of windows in the house. -
I've listened to Clark Howard, watched Channel 11's Valerie Hoff and even followed the suggestions of radio talk show hosts like Dave Ramsey...All offer excellent ways to conserve and use ones money wisely... But this ain't one of 'em: While most of the country is pinching pennies and downsizing summer sojourns - or forgoing them altogether - the Obamas don't seem to be heeding their own advice. While many of us are struggling, the First Lady is spending the next few days in a five-star hotel on the chic Costa del Sol in southern Spain with 40 of her "closest friends." According to

And the basic reason for this.... S-T-U-P-I-D-I-T-Y... How else can you explain folks coming to this country without the benefit of language skills and becomming successful in 2-3 years...while year in and year out, the same group of folks sit on their porches complaining that they have no job. Confucious say: "Man who stand on Mountain with mouth open, wait long-time for Roast Duck to fly in" -

When the grass starts growing in the runway expansion joints...like it does on I-285...then you will know we can't afford the upkeep. Lots of planes are tied up outside at other local airports...last time I was out there I saw only 1 lonely small 2-passenger high wing plane tied up in front of the building. So now...We're building hangars to sit empty, brilliant! Maybe they can rent them out to churches who have no building...plenty of parking, located on a 4-lane highway, convienient to the county...perfect location.

Sorry but your information is really off! •In 2002 the latest year of available data, the top 5 percent of taxpayers paid more than one-half (53.8 percent) of all individual income taxes, but reported roughly one-third (30.6 percent) of income. •The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid 33.7 percent of all individual income taxes in 2002. This group of taxpayers has paid more than 30 percent of individual income taxes since 1995. Moreover, since 1990 this group’s tax share has grown faster than their income share. •Taxpayers who rank in the top 50 percent of taxpayers by income pay vir -

Speak for yourself my friend... The last 4 jobs I've had...going all the way back to the mid 80's that is EXACTLY what I did! I told them what it would take for me to accept the job...and they hired me. Realizing things are much different now...but honestly, the work I am presently doing, I did the very same thing...the boss said how about we pay you this much? I said; I need this much...he said OK, when can you start? Believe it or not...I couldn't care less. This is the way it has happened for me! -

Well worth it for that 'Special' occasion... Under $50 for 2-people in the city won't be easy...unless you want to go to someplaces like has been suggested in VA Highlands or near midtown. It's been a while since we've been into the city so I am not familiar with some of the newer places. We just love the experience and the quality of Bachanalia, and you can park your own car...I ain't about to let some pimple-faced kid with piercings all over his face have the keys to the Vette...Ain't happening...

And I'd love to catch whoever is throwing that thing in my driveway every Thursday. If I want to read 'Old News' I'll subscribe... Thanks to Pubby....There is more County news posted here in 10 minutes than all the local papers combined. If I knew where they lived, I would bundle up a few months worth and throw them on his lawn... Better still gather up all of them in the neighborhood and toss them on the doorstep of the publisher... Along with all the Avon catalogs, business cards taped to my mailbox, that rag from Chapel Hills Newz and Viewz...and that advertising thi

Knoxville is on Eastern time, in fact everyone on the east side of I-75 are in Eastern time zone. That includes the mountains, Gatlinburg, Dollywood etc...In fact the Central time zone is west of Chattanooga a good bit out I-24. It takes in all of Alabama, 1/2 of KY and 2/3 of Tennessee. I-40 West out of Knoxville the Central time zone begins at Mile Marker 339, I-75 crosses I-40 at mile marker 368 so it is 29 miles West of Knoxville.

Teacher, Teacher...pick me, pick me (frantically waving my hand)...pick me, pick me! I am not a pro-islam supporter but I have found this term to be quite interesting; Apparently it is a way to denounce ones religion in the case of self protection, it is a practice called dissimulation. "Islam's dual notions of truth and falsehood further reveal its paradoxical nature: While the Qur'an is against believers deceiving other believers—for "surely God guides not him who is prodigal and a liar"-deception directed at non-Muslims, generally known in Arabic as taqiyya, also has Qur'anic su

Oh no, I've seen it too...Literally pallets of $20 and $100 dollar bills stacked up like toilet paper or frozen peas... Looks like a fire sale at the Federal Reserve...First time I saw it I asked, wonder who is watching the talley? Truth be known it would be easier to find lost Budweiser than a pallet load of $20's...

How do you just 'LOOSE' $8.7 Billion Dollars? BAGHDAD – A U.S. audit has found that the Pentagon cannot account for over 95 percent of $9.1 billion in Iraq reconstruction money, spotlighting Iraqi complaints that there is little to show for the massive funds pumped into their cash-strapped, war-ravaged nation. The $8.7 billion in question was Iraqi money managed by the Pentagon, not part of the $53 billion that Congress has allocated for rebuilding. It's cash that Iraq, which relies on volatile oil revenues to fuel its spending, can ill afford to lose. "Iraq should take legal
