  1. Yep...I did some internet research too.... Kind of like an "open book" test wasn't it? QS
  2. Solving this is so much easier when you have the internet to give you the answer...others were trying to solve it without cheating.... QS
  3. 99 blue eyed people leave on the 100th night. And the remaining Blue-eyed person leaves on the 101st night.
  4. Have another bottle.... Maybe it will clear up...
  5. There are (at least)three things that "Made in China", "Made in Singapore", "Made in Bangladesh" and "Made in Mexico" guarantees. 1) An inferior product 2) Fatter profit margins for corporate America 3) Fewer American jobs A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, consider the following: Good idea .. . one light bulb at a time . . . . Check this out.... I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason a
  6. Even his Buddies; Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews and The 'Raging Cajun' are asking "Whazz's Up"?
  7. We were kicking British butt before 1776...In my opinion, taking control of our destiny WAS 'kicking-butt'! However, you are correct it wasn't until 1783 that England realized we had been whipping their Red-Coated army and thus the Treaty of Paris. It took that long before 'Ol King George realized that half of Europe was on our side... The American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), also known as the American War of Independence, was a war between the Kingdom of Great Britain and thirteen British colonies on the North American continent (as well as some naval conflict). The war was the c
  8. You brought that NY attitude down here with you didn't ya? Kinda refreshing, really. QS
  9. Oh that was cute...I believe the original question that Jay Leno asked was "What is the significance of the July 4th holiday? Not when the Declaration of Independence was actually signed. The point being that most of the folks he asked this question of could not state that July 4, 1776 was the date that we (America) declared our independence from England, after we had kicked King George's Army's Ass! Oh and by-the-way your simple little example is the formula for calculating the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle. Simply stated: the square of the hypotenuse is equal to t
  10. Oh man...(frustrated here) Go back and read my post....I said it wasn't the fault of the teachers...I said the blame for not teaching these lessons are the fault of the administrators i.e. School Board members...who at last count are elected officials. I am beginning to understand the real reason our kids aren't learning these days...
  11. The more you say the easier it is to make my point....It is very difficult to asertain the 'why' and the 'how' without first understanding the 'what' and to know with 'whom'! Student to Teacher: So, let me see if I understand...It is not important to know what happened in 1776, it is simply how it happened? How 'WHAT' happened in 1776? How did that 'something' that happened in 1776 actually happen? What was it that 'HAPPENED' in 1776? Teacher to Student: Oh, don't get confused with 'Yesteryear' you don't need to know that 'OLD' stuff anyway! I believe that Jay aske
  12. Bump.... HONK...If you love Bluegrass Banjo! HONK-HONK
  13. I'll bet the 'Red Panties' were kinda hard to explain. "Honest Officer, she took them off and put them there...I was just trying to get her home safely!"
  14. Heard this yesterday on Neal Boortz's program... Not surprising really...considering the lack of American History being taught today. It's not really the fault of the teachers...it's the fault of the Administrators and the dumb-butts on the various Boards of Education. Political correctness has no place in the classroom...Board of Education membership should not be an elected office but an appointed one by the PTA's within the various counties. Teachers should be subject to annual review just like in the private sector. And the best part of the video... Grandpa knew all
  15. A big...HUGE.....SHOUTOUT TO: OUR TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES For your sacrifice....I salute you! QS
  16. We always loved the privacy of Litchfield Beach, SC... You can try: Dunes Realty http://www.dunes.com/ Litchfield Realty http://www.litchfieldrealestate.com/ Both are very good...pet acceptance might be a problem. Good Luck QS
  17. I am glad that you were taught to drive by someone who should be knowledgable on the subject. I have always believed that the current examinations for obtaining a license leave a lot to be desired... Driving around a few 'orange-cones' in a parking lot is a far cry from what one should do if the vehicle inadvertantly drops off the edge of the roadway on a 2-lane county road! Or how far you should 'look' ahead in order to be prepared to take evasive action in the advent of a sudden change in traffic flow. I did not intend to suggest that Police Officers are "super-human" simply that t
  18. C'mon Feelip....We're talking teenagers for the most part here. They are neither experienced enough nor adequately trained to stay alert when concentrating on driving, much less being engrossed in a 'shorthand' conversation with a friend! I thought better of you...I still don't know why anyone would want to consider texting-while-driving anyway. That being said we all have been guilty of being momentarily distracted while driving... Yes it is pretty much a tough law to enforce...but so is DUI until someone drives erratically!
  19. Hold on there 'Skippy' Before you so-called experts go off talking...and before you have knowledge of the subject, here are a few facts for consideration (And YES, I am knowledgeable on the subject): 1- Law Enforcement agencies have been using this technology for years, with the advancements in technology some departments have been able thru grants to keep their systems upgraded. 2- After Clinton left office the grant monies began to slowly go away leaving the local departments unable to access grant money to fund technology upgrades. 3- Yes Officers receive training not onl
  20. BS BS BS BS BS BS Police officers are far more qualified to use their on board communications equipment while driving than that 'Teeny-Bopper' who just got her driver's license and just has to tell her 'BFF' that she is '*&%& &&%$ **#@$' whatever!! Get over it...texting and trying to concentrate on driving is impossible for anyone who is not properly trained! Besides...IT'S THE LAW! LIVE WITH IT! QS
  21. I don't know who is responsible but..... Thanks for the patroling of our neighborhood for SPEEDERS.... We have No SIDEWALKS (Thank you developer) but lots of people walk and several golf carts are present in the neighborhood. I have seen 3 stops in front of my house in the past couple of days and I for one appreciate the attention. I love 'Blue Lights' in the evening!! Thanks Sheriff Gulledge and your deputies.... QS
  22. I figured the word "golf" in the link would be adequate...Never figured you girls to be so......well SKEERED...
