I wonder if this will be the new thing for our newspeople. You know, like when they can claim a snowstorm is coming all winter and get better ratings...I hope that's all it is!

It's always a fact that you have to pay the tax even if you never have children. Heck, we have to pay it even though we homeschool. The general public opinion is that it cuts back at a certain age because people that age have paid their portion by then and typically don't have kids in school at that age anyway. That may not be what the tax deciders think but that is what their public thinks. So if we move to a fair tax, does that mean property taxes go away as well? :lol:lol.

I can't believe we charge people school tax until they are 70! What is that, .003% of the population with kids in school at that age?

Bummer that it's not family friendly anymore. That knocks us out. It does seem to draw a more adult clientelle so I understand the decision. Hopefully they will remain strong. Anybody know if there are any family friendly karaoke places left out here?

It does seem to keep going until we finally break! -
Congratulations! That's awesome!

I think it's retarded (I know, couldn't come up with a better word) that you cannot sign your children up for dance, etc. without it becoming something you have to take out a home equity for. Just let them dance! These costumes need to be re-used at the least and simply made at home if they can't find anything cheaper. This gouging the parents to death over everything is too much, I totally agree. But guess what, we as parents continue to line up for it. It seems to be happening with every single thing now. We are to the point that we do Upward sports and nothing more.

What else can you do. Isn't it funny how it builds up and then the slightest thing opens the floodgates? Peeps, keep this in mind when you see one of us breaking down on the side of the road because the light was red.....lol. I think you got it from me....you must've shopped right behind me somewhere. Thanks for taking it for a while! Positive thoughts....positive thoughts. Now go listen to The Secret on tape. Hopefully that will scare it off for a bit. -
It will have a great chance of being adopted. But just so you are informed, if numbers are high it also has a chance of being put down. Regardless, we have a great county shelter! Is it a specific breed? If so you could try to search out a no-kill rescue for that breed. I just had to take two in myself this morning. Praying that they get picked up by their family or adopted. Good luck.

Not certain on the rectal. I want to say ped. said it is one degree high.? Oral is accurate. Under the arm, add one degree.

Same here. How did they manage to work that one out?

Bless her heart! You guys will be in our thoughts and prayers. Sure wish I could've gone to Alaska with her! Hopefully all will go smoothly and she can return to her normal life.

I wish they had this closer to me....South Paulding. I know I wouldn't go if I had to drive that far. The 24 hour place over here is great but I need me some classes.

This child can dance! Another dancer....adorable

Agreed, that is a bit much for his circumstance. However, I'm on board for charging stupidity. I had a friend who refused to leave a vacation place with a hurricane heading straight for it (and eventually landing there, wiping out the entire area). Luckily it came down to a trespassing issue if they didn't remove themselves. Let me just assure you how fast this person would've had the family out of there, had they known they would actually have to pay for the decision. It burns me up to have someone show that much disrespect for the life of the person who will have to come in

Great to hear they are getting help. Hopefully things will go quickly for them.

Wonder if less lives would've been lost in these floods if it was known that money would be involved with any rescue. Some may have been just trying to get home but if you intentionally go out or intentionally go around a barracade, therefore using rescue teams that could be saving a family in rising waters, etc...I'm just sayin'. Weren't they like 13 calls deep at one point with all the rescues? I'd feel horrible if I were the one who did something irrational in a time like that. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad. Just curious if a huge rescue fee would cause some to pause before go

That's aweful. These homes are the reason FEMA is being brought in. This is their job. Don't sweat what others think. We know a family that uses opportunities like this to advance in any way other than going to an actual job. These folks are not that family! These families need and should get FEMA help. Not to start a war but those who plop down in Florida, near the beach (where I would love to be), the ones who cry ignorance about flood insurance....on the coast!....they are the ones who burn me up when they have to be rescued on our dime. We would all love that life. Flood

Thanks for the info!

Wow! Bless their hearts.

Myrlin, everyone wants to know where this is. Do you know? Thanks....referring to the railroad track washout picture near Villa Rica. Ok, this one too, please... My mom teaches dance in several areas in Villa Rica and has lots of friends out that way. Thanks!
