With the recent temps we didn't do enough to protect the pipes in the detached garage. Anyone know how to dry stuff out when it's 24 degrees outside? We have tons of stuff in there, of course. Couldn't be all organized and proactive...no, not us! My best guess is that we need to get a big ole heater from somewhere. It's like 24x30 so a typical heater wouldn't do much and I'm guessing we need a heater that will circulate a lot of warm air. Is there a place to rent one of those big time heaters like they use on construction sites? Calling Home Depot now. Any ideas appreciated

Our bill has been beyond outrageous this summer. Close to $400/mo.!!! If I had my way with the a/c I can't even imagine how much higher this would be. Does anyone else have this problem? We've not done any additional insulation. Would this make that much of a difference? Even on our last bill (could not have been more than 4 days with a/c) it was STILL $278! WTH? We are home most of the time (we both work from home) but it's not like we turn on everything in the house. Anyone else?

That would be nice! They probably still charge homeowners for property tax, though. They'd have to, to be able to fund the school system. I'm all over the whole "no state income tax" thing, though!

How about the four day school week? Four day school week And BTW, we parents (and non-parents) are already forced to pay for the school buses...whether we use them or not or even if we homeschool.

They are having a 50% off sale. The prices are already so low! Even my picky 12 year old daughter found lots of clothes, a pc game, etc. We're so glad we stopped by. I don't know what the hours are for Fri/Sat but Cindy said the sale will go through both days. You guys should stop by!

Edited to add: Would our Historical Society not be able to pick something like this up? Seems like it could be a money maker for them and really would be more in their department.?

To the principal, councelors, staff and other parents: These kids will forever remember that you took the time to grieve with them and allowed them time to process the loss of their friend. So impressed with how you guys chose to handle such a sad situation.
