Will the real BILL HEATH please stand up?
WHITEY replied to Mason Rountree's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I am not sure that Pubby can assure anonymity. In 2006 Jerry Shearin called me out during a commissioners meeting that was broadcast all over the county, I have been called out several other times during the school bond campaign to name another time which included posting my tax information on this site, Another occasion was when I was opposing a zoning issue. The contents of post in many cases can lead to ones identity, coupled with you tube videos and political rallies, FACEBOOK, sometimes is a dead giveaway. I think pigpen is getting close to solving your identity without the need of -

Crowe, Leggett no show, James calls on Braddock to resign
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I do not feel as if this was mudslinging by Mr. James. Facts of a candidate’s inability to manage their personal finances, and abide by judgments made against them are germane to their ability to govern. Failure to pay federal taxes should in itself disqualify Mrs. Braddock from being eligible to even qualify to run for this seat Mr. James made this statement in an open forum while looking directly at Mrs. Braddock and she chose to ignore this issue during the debate. I am amazed by some of the posters here who still support Mrs. Braddock and really lambasted the previous incumbent the pa -
Melissa Morrison for State House District 19
WHITEY replied to Melissa Morrison District 19's topic in Paulding County NEWS
El Zorro I think it is very important to look at a candidate’s entire voting record along with past accomplishments and failures including any business failures. For too long House District 19 has been the laughing stock of the state of Georgia. We have elected people to this House District who were womanizers, Tax and spend conservatives, some that have failed to pay their taxes, And, even some who have a quite an arrest record. Paulding County deserves better. I have a question for you; of the two House Representatives and the two State Senators that represent Paulding County what hav -
Melissa Morrison for State House District 19

Mrs. Braddock voting record as a school board member is not a conservative voting record.I like to look into all of a persons past records when making a decision who I will vote for. -
Melissa Morrison for State House District 19

A look at the incumbents voting record while serving on the school board is enough for me to vote against her. Is their some reason you did not include this in the above question? -
Melissa Morrison for State House District 19

NJ I agree there is a record to look at that Paulette has amassed during her ten years of elected positions here in Paulding County. Do you recall the eight years that Paulette served on the Paulding County School Board? Paulette voted for every increase in the budget during her eight years in that elected position. Paulette voted for and supported the $ 120 million school bond issue in 2007 that resulted in a more that two mill property tax increase that year. This was the largest one year tax increase in the history of Paulding County. Do know that last year the current school board fin -

FreeBird I trade trucks quite often,Normally when the 36,000 warranty runs out, As a GM retiree I get a pretty good discount om new trucks. And yes I will be paying more in TAXES / FEE'S. And so will a lot of other folks. Grand kids do not help much in the garden now days. -
Here is what Bill Heath stated in his news letter Changes to the Motor Vehicle Ad Valorem Tax and Title Fee This week we will take an in depth look at coming changes to the way motor vehicles are taxed as we continue our review of HB 386, the "comprehensive" tax reform bill we passed this year. This portion of the bill has probably been misrepresented more than any other part of the bill. Currently when you buy a vehicle, you pay sales tax on the price of the vehicle at the time of purchase (6-8% depending on the county the vehicle is titled in) as well as an ad val

I agree that to my knowledge Bill Carruth and Jerry Shearin are not brother in laws. The rest of the post is debatable, I have seen documents that state differently, And you probably saw some of them last election yourself, Heck they were on this site as well as other sites. Any other statements?

I agree Heath is an embarasment, But so is Carruth. Do you remember when he was Commision Chairman? WOW what a mess,Tax increases every year

So how much money could Tony Crowe save the County?
WHITEY replied to LisaKW@bellsouth.net's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I know very little about Tony Crowe, I have met him twice and he seemed to be a good person. Having said that….During his unsuccessful run for Post # 4 commissioner two years ago, I still know very little about his positions on key issues that, affect me and my family. I do know that he worked for the County under the Shearin administration and also under the Austin Administration (In which Tony resigned from office to run for post #4 Commissioners) I know he is very adept at placing 100’s of signs all over the County, and it appears that this practice will continue this election. I do not -
If the T SPLOST is passed it will never come off. If the gas tax is not providing sufficent revenue, Then why did this years State legislature reduce the taxes on gas for major airlines and corporate farms?
-
LPPT What I am saying is use the same plan that is proposed under the T SPLOST with the exception of the funding part Use a Fuel tax instead of a sales tax. Do it by region as proposed, That way the City of Atlanta will get the Fuel taxes from the airport which would really help traffic congestion in the metro area. And BTW No exceptions to the fuel tax for anyone whether it would be a Major airline,Truck line, corporate farm etc. Everyone that uses fuel will pay the same amount, Is their some reason that a major airline receives millions in tax cuts on jet fuel? Or how about the Major Tru
-
The fair tax for building roads is to tax all those who purchase fuel for whatever reason either diesel, Gasoline or jet fuel. If this does not probide the needed revenue,Then, increase the tax on the people that buy it. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS!!!!!
-
And I thought my Tomatoes were doing good,I bet you have the first ripe tomato in the county, Mine is at least another two weeks off. I AM JEALOUS
-
LPPT Sorry that we do not agree on this TAX INCREASE, but I do see it a little different than you. Transportation is an important part of growth in any State or County, and, is very important that we continue to provide better roads and other infrastructure for the future of our State and Paulding County. Up to this point in time infrastructure improvements have been funded by State and Federal gasoline tax dollars along with a local SPLOST tax that was recently passed in Paulding County. Do know that the Local SPLOST tax is responsible in part for the extension of Bill Carruth Parkway. I

Just wondering LPPT why did the Paulding County Republican Women’s club refuse to allow you to video the presentation?? Were they supporting this tax increase? Did the lobbyists, at this meeting explain why this year’s legislature made permanent the gasoline tax cuts for major airlines, farms, manufacture of certain products etc? And, at the same time propose a one cent transportation tax on all citizens within certain regions of the State? Whatever the gas tax is I think that all users of the product should pay the same amount of taxes as the average citizen does. Fact is some of our own
