If Bill Heath and Paulette Braddock Har their way the tax burden would all be shifted to the consumer, and the large Business would pay zero in taxes. In fact for the past few years it appears that Braddock has paid very little in taxes? A lot of people are against tax breaks for businesses. Take the largest paving contractor in Georgia, I think he should be paying fuel/diesel and sales taxes on his equiptment when they make millions of tax dollars if the T SPLOST passes.

No I would of been more inclined to support a tax increase on gas/diesel fuel with no exemptions for anyone. You do know that this was a major tax break for the trucking and air line industry? Not to mention the other Business that were tax exempt in this years new tax bill passed by Bill Heath, Maxwell, and Braddock. You really need to contact your comgressman and senator and get them to pass the transporation bill ASAP, It has been four years since we have had one, Billions in tax dollars from the federal tax on gas/diesel fuel is sitting there waiting to be spent on roads and bridges

This is an incorrect statement,The legislature set up the guidelines, The others followed those guidelines and established a project list for each county in the region that was defined by the legislature.

Hey LPPT I have an idea. First let’s do away with all of the special tax exemptions that Paulette and Heath gave to all of the special interest groups (Billions) this past legislative session. Then Collect all of the unpaid sales tax (Which is millions), Collect all of the unpaid State taxes (Billions) and then see if we need another tax for the roads. I sure hope the T SPLOST Town Hall meeting scheduled for July 17th draws a large crowd of NO NEW TAXES citizens.

I will be voting no. We now have thee taxes that are suppose to pay for the roads. #1 the gasoline tax collected by the Federal and State governments. To me this is the fairest taxes of all to build and maintain the roadways. You did better than I did I could not find any bills that Braddock introduced. I do know that Braddock supported the tax reform bill that Bill Heath supported that gave business like Braddock and Heath's massive tax breaks . The same bill that gave Delta airlines tax breaks on fuel. The same bill also provides for a tax on the resale of used cars, that, was eliminated I believe in the 80's. LPPT I have not heard any candidate say that they were going to tighten the purse strings until it fails. I have heard a lot of citizen’s talk about the millions that is being spent with no signs of a return on investment up to this point. I do not understand why she is not being prosecuted. A tax lien has not done any good with the Feds. Heck the Georgia Taxpayers are footing the bill on the latest tax lien. WTH!!!! Is going on here?
