Why does this question come up every year? Trick or Treating is on HALLOWEEN. Halloween is on October 31st. Therefore Trick or Treating is on October 31st whether it occurs on a Wednesday or on Saturday. The logic is inescapable. Really, it is ONE day out of the year. Your little darlings will have a blast. Yes, they will be a little tired on Thursday at school, they will survive.

North View Baptist will be setting up our pumpkin patch tomorrow, come see us at C and C Battery in New Hope after about 2pm

North View Baptist Church will be setting up our annual pumpkin patch this Saturday. The truck will be arriving at C&C Battery at about noon. We will be officially opening the Patch on Sunday 1pm, but if you are around and need a pumpkin stop by and see us. We have 400+ pumpkins we will be unloading, if you are looking for a fun and DIFFERENT workout, we are in need of volunteers to help unload. Trick or treating is on Halloween night. If you are gonna pick some other random night to do it, why not pick one in the summertime when the kids are out of school and it is warm? Leave TOT on October 31st, it is one night out of the year, your little darlings will survive one school day being tired from too much excitement and way to much candy. Let the arguments begin.....

I think we will be back, it seems a good place and everybody I have heard from says the food is good. I really think they just underestimated how much people around New Hope were looking forward to a new place to eat. That together with how many people were out and about due to the schools having open house was enough to overwhelm them. Did anybody try the Totopos, the new mexican restaurant where Beef O'Brady's used to be? We went in after open house at the school last night, it wasnt pretty. The wait to get a table wouldnt have been unusual for a Saturday night (about 20 minutes), but the wait times after that were EXTREME. We finally had to cancel our order and leave in order to get the kids home and in bed at a reasonable time. As we were leaving, the manager came to talk with us, nice guy, very apologetic, I just think they underestimated the impact a good sit down restaurant would have in that area. We will give th

I was at the Cartersville office on July 5th, I figured a Thursday after a major holiday would be somewhat slow. NOPE, got there at 130pm, walked in, saw the line and walked out. Went back on Friday morning, got there at 730am and was still about 20 people back. Took about 45 to get called to counter so they could check my documents and see why I was there. Took my test and was out the door in about another hour. Get there EARLY and make sure you have all your documents in order. Did anybody else see the small single engine airplane flying very low near Seven Hills and the the end of Ivey Gulledge Rd? I am near the new Abney and we could see a small plane flying in circles. He was so low and erratic I was sure he was going to crash.

My entire family has read all 3 books. Totally hooked. I think all of us finished them in less than a week. I had to threaten violence when my teenage daughter's friends started the whole Team Peeta Team Gale thing like Twilight. Was not going to let them ruin a good series of books. The movie was good, left out a bunch of the storyline, but they had to or the movie would have been 8 hours long. Should be interesting to see how they make up fill in the gaps when the second movie comes out.

I live in Ivy Springs, great neighborhood.

We went to the Great Wolf in Pidgeon Forge in November with 2 11 year olds and 2 16 year olds, they couldnt quit smiling the whole time we were there. The hotel part was very nice and clean, the water park was great, even thought the outside part was closed for the winter. The indoor Surf Rider was a big hit with all 4 kids.

For all of my fellow Girl Scout parents who have spent the last few weeks trying to sell as many boxes of cookies as possible, maybe this will give you a smile or a giggle. The Silver Comet Trail has some mountain bike trails that parallel it. They arent super tough, but they do give a good ride. You might try contact Paulding SORBA http://www.pauldingsorba.org/. Their site has a number of mountain bike trails.

Sorry for the late update.... Daughter says the power came back on about noon and they are going on with their day. No explanation yet on what happened.

My daughter just texted me that the power is out at North Paulding High, as well as the elementary and middle schools there as well. Anybody have any clue what is happening?
