The pumpkins are coming to New Hope again this year. The Paulding 4H Archery team pumpkin patch will be opening next Saturday, the 17th, at the intersection of Old Cartersville Rd and Dallas Acworth Hwy (across from Walgreens). Come see us for your Jack O'Lantern and fall decorating needs. We will be open daily from 1-9, Sundays 1-6.

Well duh, Hal, YES my issue is with the number of tickets sold. How do you sell tickets to the students at the school, yes, the school they attend, the very one they are supposed to be loyal to and support, then tell them they can't go to the game because you were so greedy you oversold the seats? When the kids start avoiding the games because they can't get in, even after buying a ticket, the administration and BOE will start complaining because the students don't support the team. Stupid, greedy and ridiculous

Just received a call from my child, she is at the North-East game and is being told the stadium is at capacity and they cant go in. She is a student at North and bought her ticket yesterday. How can they NOT let the students in???? Anybody know if the ticket cost will be refunded? This is ridiculous, how can you exclude the students of the school from the school's game? Hi all, My 14 year old daughter has a chance to shoot in the Junior Olympic Archery Development Nationals July 1st-5th. We need your help and support to get her there. Last summer, my truck was involved in a wreck. Progressive Insurance paid off in a timely manner and were a great help, except they cut me a check on one of the smaller banks in the area. I went to the bank to cash a $4800.00 check and was told that the bank did not keep that kind of cash on hand. HUH? Aren't you a BANK? Isn't that what a bank does is keep money so I can come cash a check written against it? I was floored, for a bank, 5 grand is not much money at all.

Has anyone else been getting spam pop ups when clicking on the Recent Topics button? I have gotten it twice today, once it just crashed IE, the other it took me to a page warning me I had spyware, malware and viruses on my computer AND that I should call a phone number to get it fixed immediately. The page then hijacked the back button and the close button and would not let me shut it down. Luckily, I am smarter than the average spam webpage.

Update on the Archery shoot, due to the weather forecast for this Sunday being mostly rain, we have pushed the shoot to Sunday the 23rd. We will still be having the meeting tomorrow night in the cafeteria at Hershel Jones Middle School at 6pm.

I dont know how long the meeting will be, but we will also be having an 'interest shoot' on Sunday the 16th at 3pm at the Sheriff's shooting range by the Paulding County Landfill. At the gate to the landfill, turn right and follow the dirt road for about half mile. A number of the current team members will be there practicing, but we will also have some bows available for our interested candidates to try. You can see what a 'normal' practice is like, but also have your child pull a bow so you have some reference as to what they would need. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Paulding 4H Archery will be holding an informational meeting this Thursday November 13th at Herschel Jones Middle School at 6pm in the Cafeteria. Several of our coaches and team members will be there to answer question.

Howdy all, just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came by the Pumpkin Patch and made it a huge success again this year. Now, I need to dispose of all the extra pumpkins....anybody have any cows, chickens, pigs, horses or any other animal that might like something different in their diet? If so, please PM me so we can set a time for you to pick some up.

OK, so late breaking news......looks like the pumpkin patch is going to be open til about 8. SOOOOOO, if you are on your way out to a party and need that last minute pumpkin..........

Howdy my fellow Paulding people. The Pumpkin Patch in New Hope is open again today til 5pm or the last person leaves. As an extra added bonus, if you come by today you get to meet......ME! In spite of that, if you need a last minute pumpkin, come see us. The proceeds are going to our church Youth fund. Come help us get our teenagers to camp.

Just a quick update for everyone.... The North View Baptist Church pumpkin patch in New Hope still has pumpkins. It isnt to late to get yours. We are at the corner of East Paulding Dr and Dallas Acworth Hwy. We will be open today from 4pm to 8pm.

Our season starts in mid January with the biggest tournaments we shoot in happen during the spring, but we are trying to keep the kids involved and shooting year round. Practices are on Sunday afternoons and Thursday nights when we can at the Sherriff's shooting range off Seven Hills Parkway. You can get most of the information from the 4H website, but I can answer most questions as well.
