North View Baptist Church is once again collecting used bicycles to redistribute for folks in our community and in others. We take your used bike and clean it up, repair what needs fixing and then help some deserving child (or adult) with a fun means of excercise and/or transportation. We can pick up most weekends OR if you are near New Hope, you can drop them off at our Pumpkin Patch from 4-8 on weekdays, 10-8 on Saturdays and 1-6 on Sundays. The Pumpkin Patch is at the corner of Old Cartersville Rd and Dallas Acworth Hwy across from Walgreens. (Mods please move this post if n

Nope, my daughter did the same thing. 30 or 45 minutes of learning and then hours of waiting for the clock to run out.

Yum! Care to share that recipe? Supposed to be all icy and nasty tomorrow....as if I need a good excuse to cook something. -
How many trees in your yard? Leaves and pine straw are going to be a pain, not only do they make it look ugly, but they bring all kinds of crud in with them.....dirt and bugs are the easiest seen, but algae will show up in a hurry, you go to bed and the water is clear and pretty, get up the next day and your water is GREEN. We had a small (15 foot round) above ground at our old house....the kids loved it and there is nothing better than going out into your private pool and just hanging with the kids and not having to worry about everybody elses kids.

It is actually 2 wrecks. Black sports car was stopped at the sign coming from Ivey Gulledge, blue pick up truck clipped the front end and spun it completely around. I was sitting in the traffic waiting to get through the stop sign and another truck tried to get out of Ivey Gulledge and hit another car right beside the first wreck. I REALLY dont want to see a red light at that intersection as I go through it several times a day, but I have come around to admit that it really needs one.

I am currently doing both, after benig out of school for more than 10 years. Online for my career class....how to write a resume, how to interview, job retention. Those are all things I can read and retain relatively easy (I hope), actually in the classroom for my basic electrical theory class. I knew this class I would need to have access to a teacher to ask questions and get repeats, sometime multiple, of some concepts. Online is great for some classes, not so hot for others, depends on you and how you learn best. Dont be afraid of online, just look at the class and see if the mater

Is it AT&T Uverse? Most of their routers are wireless enabled. You can see the SSID and password on the side of the router. Just follow the directions for adding a router to your Kindle.

My 12 year old daughter got a bow for Christmas, I want her to learn the correct way to shoot instead of merely launching the arrows randomly across the yard. Anybody know of a good, active archery club in the area? Something that works with kids and adults that isnt terribly expensive?

We dropped our landline a couple of years ago, don't regret it in the least. Sprint has this thing called the Airave, it is similar to the cell booster that Pubby was talking about. It is a Femtocell, basically it is a mini cell tower in your house. My link It covers an area just a little bigger than my yard. Your cell phone connects to the Femtocell which is connected to your carriers network over the internet. Instead of your call going from your phone to the tower to the network it goes from your phone to the femto to the carrier. Here is the link to the Sprint F

I spent this weekend taking the Georgia DDS/Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course. They give you a TON of information and you get a lot of time in the saddle. I had a lot of fun and met some really nice folks. If you are thinking about getting a bike, or if you have a teen that wants to ride, I would encourage you to take the course. I have been riding dirt bikes for years and thought I would just breeze through without having to really think about it. Wrong. A lot of the skills transfer, but this course concentrates a lot on basic skills and slow speed manuevering. I had to w
