I donated for the first time ever in Tallapoosa this past Friday. I got really lightheaded but the juice made it feel a lot better and those Nutter Butters were pretty good, too! I am able to donate again in May and plan on doing it! It is the one thing we can give that doesn't cost anymore than about 30-45 minutes of our time! Several in our neighborhood in Haralson County had this happen the end of last week. I put on Facebook that I hope they were pleased with themselves because it cost me a new mailbox. My brother-in-law found a yellow rake or shovel handle in the ditch that we believe was what was used to do the damage because it matched the marks perfectly on his mailbox. I think they were tired by the time they got to mine and just ripped the flag off and messed with the lid. It was struck a couple of times but nowhere like his was hit!

We went and watched our 6 year old DS bowl in his first bowling tournament ever in Woodstock. Was a long day but worth seeing him doing what he loves!!

Tara, you have been on my mind all day today. I refer to you as my "cancer sister" since we both experienced this horrible sickness with our respective sisters. You were a blessing to me and you will never know how much your words helped encourage me as my sister fought her battle and maybe something I said helped you, too. Please keep in mind what I told you my dad said that either way she is victorious, whether it be by becoming cancer free or losing the battle and going home to be with the Lord. Also remember if you are watching your sugar intake, you have to watch how much fruit you eat since they are naturally high in sugar (speaking from experience and advise from the doctor).

My favorite way in this order...open bun, lots of mayo, hot dog, mustard, ketchup, cheese, then drowned in hot (temperature) chili!! Ooey, gooey mess!!

My six year old saw this and was hoping it would snow enough so there wouldn't be any school tomorrow. LOL I asked him how school went today (Haralson County) and he said good. He got there and wasn't there long and then it was lunch time since they didn't start school until 10 a.m.

Haralson County is only delayed by two hours. We still have several roads iced over and just heard from my boss. He said Bremen City Schools are also delayed two hours. So...I won't have to be at work until 10!!

There is still ice on the secondary roads in Haralson County but we took our time and made it to church on time. I think they will be fine as long as they use caution and take their time getting to school. Parents need to remind their high school car drivers to leave earlier so they are not rushing themselves to school...

We got a similar call in Haralson County tonight as well.

We ate at mom's tonight- pintos, creamed potatoes, mac and cheese, cornbread, and baked chicken, sweet tea and quickly followed by her homemade cake with the old fashion chocolate icing.

We're going. We have been many times. We sit in the lower level but this year we are sitting on the opposite side just to see how it is over there. We have our pit passes and are ready to go. We always ride MARTA in and Little Man loves it.

I saw that post before it closed and it really bothered me. I hope he gets the peace and comfort he needs.
