  1. Oh you'll be able to keep track of me just by the way I dress. I'm a very colorful person. I could even land a plane on one of my good days.
  2. Whitey, I thought I did pay taxes in the county every time I visit. You know, hotel. food, gas, other shopping and etc etc. And you know what, I do pay taxes where I live too, taxes that I don't always agree with but that's no matter where you go. Can't keep everyone happy. Your comment about buying a house by the airport was so sweet. However, as I've said before, I am living now few minutes from a commercial airport, that really doesn't bother me and not the reason I want to move away from here. The house I'll buy will be the one that "speaks to me" and it won't matter where it is. O
  3. Well I do live in the south. South of Ga that is. And that's tovarish to you
  4. Thank you BB. I know there are a lot of wonderful people in Paulding County, I have met some already on my numerous trips over the past several years as well as here on Paulding.com. I can't wait for the next summer when I can officially call it my home, I'm quite excited about the move. Sheesh, Stradial, way to blow my cover! I thought we agreed no mentioning of me not only being from out of state but from the other country as well! *Taking away both of those cookies and handing them over to mrnn*.
  5. There you go again, Whitey, with your and your supporters version of good ole southern welcome. Not that it's any of your business, but I do consider Paulding my future home, it is my home because that's where I feel at home. The only reason I haven't moved there yet is because I promised my kids they can graduate with their friends. But you and other's telling me that I have no right to voice my opinions or concerns because I'm not a resident of Paulding County is akin to discrimination, don't you think?

Easy, they're not taught to comprehend the material. Sorry, but I blame the educators who are more concerned with passing the tests rather than teaching the concepts and skills to help understand and master the material.
  7. And when they do turn it into a maintenance facility, what type of jets do you think will be flying in and out then and how often? Can we say "monopoly" here? So because of that, Paulding County is not allowed to have an economy of its own? 800 people that work for Delta reside in this county. Well to hell with the rest of 150,000 people residing here too, they don't matter because they don't work for the corporation that drives the state's economy.
  8. There are a lot of unexplained phenomenons out there. Reincarnation is one of those. It all depends on how you choose to look at things: from inside the box or looking beyond it.
  9. You're right, it is. Delta and City of Atlanta are so tied to each other in this situation that at times I think of them as one entity anymore.
  10. No problem. You were too passionate in your responding and too caught up in it for a moment to notice who you were replying to. I totally understand Just don't do it again (no offence Tundra, our differences and all, but you're you and I'm a different kind of eskimo here) or I'll have to ask Blondie if I can borrow her basement for few hours.
  11. Wasn't me who told you that study didn't exist. Quite contrary, actually, I've asked before how can that study be done by Atlanta, Delta, etc and they can say that it's topographically impossible to have another huge airport but all these people opposing here claim that it is just what's going to happen. You have me confused with someone else, seriously.
  12. While I agree with you about having knowledgeable people on the board to make the best out of this airport, do you really think even the commission that you have recently voted for will hire him or anyone else to make the airport profitable, may it be commercialization or keeping it as general aviation? Btw, speaking of progress ideas in Paulding, I have been trying to send you a message to get your take on some and thought it would be rude to call the number without explaining what I was looking for first. I think your inbox is too full to get any new messages.
  13. About 10,000 acres and a second commercial airport. Of course on a much bigger scale than what PCAA has ever even thought of doing it or having the capacity for. The environmental studies done by Atlanta showed that it would be a bad idea because of topography but the plans for something of the kind even for maintenance and repair airport (which would still bring in those huge airliners that everyone is against) is a big possibility.
  14. You know you are not going to get those answers because obviously it is alright to lower the property value and bring pollution and noise from traffic to the houses affected by roads being right at their doorsteps. Or is it because that it's not as controversial of topic as airport? Or maybe because it's only little people who stand to lose something and not a big company or bunch of politicians who are being threatened. You pick which one.
  15. It would be wrong because of monopoly game. With Delta having its own plans for the land they own nearby, they want to be in control of the situation. It's not about helping citizens at all. Think like Delta for a moment and then ponder the actions taken.

Who needs education when you can run around waving spears and still get paid for it? And you don't have to worry about some stupid tests that nobody knows what purpose they have other than causing kids more stress. I say lucky Kiwis!
  17. Attorneys are not the ones to blame here. Those who hire them, on both sides, that's who you should look at. Attorneys only do what they are hired and told to do by their clients. They have no power to make decisions.
  18. See, the problem with that is that you should care because that's really major big bucks that are thrown into stopping this airport. Sure, PCAA and BOC should have handled several things differently. The thing is, they had valid reasons for secrecy on some levels along with some stupid reasons on others. The bottom line is that it is you the citizens who should be asking why in the hell would someone spend that much money to stop a little god forsaken airport and what will it cost you if whoever is footing the bill gets their way. Sure, it has been a money pit so far. There are ways to u
  19. And any other protection that would not result in 18 years of having a responsibility you might not want. You know, something that they say about some people that don't own a TV have in spades and dozens. Sorry, I saw protection and emergency supplies and couldn't resist.
  20. Norcross??? I think I'm going to die laughing on that one. That place is so far from being the crème de la crème that it's not even funny. Last time I was in the area, granted 7 years or so ago, the local cuisine was considered of the roadkill or the family's dog Sparky and the wild forest fires were wiping out the mobil homes in their path. Of course as soon as the fires passed, more trailers were delivered to the newly expanded and naturally deforested areas. Sheesh, the things they come up with!
  21. I see you post all the time with some fun and important updates. Just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see that someone is promoting reading and activities for people of all ages. Great job!
  22. And he did. Oh I hope so, for their sake lol. Do you always contradict yourself Postman? You claim something one moment, then reply to someone who is in opposition with your original post, and bam! you are suddenly in agreement with them. When the next person comes along supporting your original post, you switch again. Do you actually know yourself exactly where you stand?
  23. Those who live in the past never get to see the future. Really, how much longer is the South going to be blaming the Civil War for all the bad that is happening today? Take responsibility for your own actions and if you don't like your life, change it.
  24. You know Whitey, with all the bitching you do about every board there is, you should have ran for the post and tried to get appointed on as many boards as possible. Maybe then you'd be able to have things the only right way you see it: yours.
