  1. I'm one of those left lane hoggers. I like it better in the left lane and for the most part will stay only in the left lane. I also do 78 and cops don't bother with you unless you're doing 80 or more. There have been plenty of times when I would get frustrated by someone doing 65 in the left lane and holding up everyone else behind them. Since most of the roads I travel are pretty much traffic none existing, staying in the left lane is not a big deal. I do the courtesy thing when others are going faster then me and move over to the right until they pass and go back to the lane doing my
  2. To me it's about the same as seeing that 3 year old still in diapers and with a pacifier.
  3. I'll have to check on it but it couldn't be July of last year because that's when my daughter got her permit. In either case, that is a law I don't agree with. I think it's much safer for me to flash the trucker so he can move over without making me run off the road but what do I know, I'm just the car behind the 18 wheeler.
  4. Then it must not have gone into effect by April of 2013 because that was on the test when I was taking it. And a year later when my daughter was applying for her permit.
  5. In that case: twinkle twinkle little star.... See, no waving.
  6. Oh fine, spoil my fun. And only because I happen to like you cmorg, even if you are a republican, I'll tune down the rocking. Would you like a lullaby instead though?
  7. In the state of Florida it is illegal to flash your headlights to let someone know they can pass into your lane.
  8. Nobody can beat Bing Crosby for Christmas music. And I have everything from classical to classical and hard rock, to country, to hip hop, to 60's through 90's. to New Age, to Russian, Italian and French. And I don't have an ipod thingy either.
  9. I had several chickens when I was a kid and named all roosters for apostles. They were far from saintly though.
  10. Great. Now you have created a new phobia for me. I never thought about those things but now I think I will just stay away from eggs all together. No more CHICKAN CHALAZAE for me!!!
  11. Mark, it was great meeting you today. I love the Owl and can't wait to hang it up when I get home. This little Farmer's Market is great. I am enjoying my fresh baked yummy bread with some delicious spicy spreads I picked up there as well. If I wasn't staying here another couple days, I'd get some vegetables for a salad. They looked wonderful as well!
  12. Illegal is illegal. Don't we have enough children in this country that are not being taken care of already? I don't understand why won't the United States already seal the boarders and stop letting all the illegals to bleed the country. I don't want to hear how their cheap labor is good for our economy. It's not. It's the same "good" as taking businesses out of the country because it's cheaper to produce it in China. What about people already here who need jobs, education and benefits they truly worked hard for their entire lives?
  13. As an immigrant myself, I resent all those who come here and expect everybody else to learn their native language. I'm sorry, what country are you in now? Yes, sure, America is a country of many nations but the way I was taught is that all those nations must learn the language of United States, which is last time I checked... you got it, ENGLISH! When you come to any country, you agree to abide by their laws and customs. Doesn't mean you can't keep your language or customs. In your family. In your home. With your friends. In your community. But what makes all these people think they
  14. in time oh oh my... Blondie, I can watch those from my attorney's place too but he's decided to retire for some reason and spoil my fun just in time for the weekend. Hmmm cmorg, can you specify outside location? I figured it would be a little hard to see the fireworks from my hotel too so I wondered if outside would work better.
  15. I'm not sure I want to head out to Hiram for the big celebration but was wondering if there is any other spot where the fireworks can be seen well from a less crowded place. Anyone know a place like that?
  16. And I thought I was cruel in tormenting my kids. But this... Why didn't I think of something like sooner???
  17. Actually in VA we wanted to visit some caverns first and Civil War museums later. Next weekend is an Aviation Museum in NC!
  18. Ha, I've been too busy travelling to another part of Ga. And exploring Fl for the last couple of years. Now that we've outgrown Fl, we're branching out to other wonderful places like Biltmore, Washington DC and Savannah (the last two are our next destinations) and still in between my trips to a certain part of Ga lol.
  19. Beautiful pictures! I'd love to visit Savannah some day and take one of those horse carriage tours. In every city I've ever taken the tour, the drivers always have some interesting stories and little known facts to tell. This is one rich in history place that is a must on my travelling list.
  20. Great! I'll bring Stuff Posing As Meat and Texture can bring the Oxy-MAPP welding torch. We can have a cookout in a blackout!
  21. No Whitey, you didn't irk me at all. As always, you only see what you wish to see and nothing else.
