Well, I wish you luck in those interviews. However, the economy does suck royally. I can't even get many interviews and the few places I manage to get them at are quite shady. I am still looking and now with a little on the way (was conceived when I did have a job, so for those of you who will say you shouldn't have a kid if you can't afford it, we could when we did get pregnant), I doubly need to find a job (it won't be easy in a few weeks when I start truly showing). So if that means going in when the roads are slick, dammit I will suck it up and do it as I am supposed to (please let spr

Sadly the need for money overrules pretty much everything with me. I wish I could have your luxury and 4 job offers.

If you helped even one person, you count and made a difference.

I have lived paycheck to paycheck my entire adult life. I promise you it still isn't fun and it sure as hell isn't fun weighing whether you eat or put your safety at risk and go to work. Be happy you have always had good bosses and haven't really had to make that call. Many bosses are not that nice and honestly don't care..whether you are in a corporate setting or a mom and pop setting.

Yes, but then you would have no money for food or shelter and your safety is in jeopardy anyway.

Thornton is as clear as day.

I have to wonder how many people were thinking of staying home, called their boss only to be told if they didn't come in they were going to be fired? This happens a lot with hourly positions. Many business owners don't give a crap about their employees because we are a dime a dozen and if they fire one, they can find another the next day.

Well, I am in downtown Dallas, so that could have been my mail carrier. I wish her/him a speedy recovery.

My mother told me the whole story of that snowstorm in Indianapolis today when I checked in. Mom and Dad holed up in their living room, hung blankets over the doors and windows, had the fire place going (electricity was off)and had an ole fashion snow in. She told me there was a path around the house that the dog used (this was a tiny boston terrier) and the snow was well over its head.

I hope that was not my mail carrier and I hope that that mail carrier is ok.

I got mail today.

I pray that if you pull that stunt, she beats you over the head.

Cherokee County is closed tomorrow. It would not surprise me if Paulding is too.

Do you need help retrieving your abandoned vehicle?

Nick you are a very sweet person. -
It is easier than you think with pants. However, I would say make sure you have an extra blanket in the car so you can properly cover yourself. I learned my lesson the other day when I was stranded, cause I had no food or water in my car. I was a lucky one and made it to the same Quicktrip my husband was at and was able to get sustenance, but I came awfully damn close to not making it. When we can get back out, I am making an emergency pack for my car, having an gas can in my car (not full cause of fumes), but that way I can walk to get gas if need be, and my hubby is going to buy us chain

I was one of those that was stranded overnight. Thankfully I had made it to the same QuickTrip that my husband was at. Miraculously I was only 2 miles behind him on the same road. We made it home yesterday afternoon about 4pm after speaking with Truckers by CB radio to get a clear route home. I am staying in today until the snow and ice lets up and we can retrieve our other car.

I was not alive in 1982 or in GA. I do remember the blizzard of '93 though, I was 9 years old and newly transplanted to Atlanta from Indiana. It was the most snow I had ever seen. We had power but were snowed in for 3 days. I was not around in GA for your Ice Storm, but VA got the heavy wet snow of it and my power did go out for a day. No fireplace either. Thank god the roads are salted and plowed up there, made it to a friends house that had power.

Too damn cold out for our lady part to be hanging that close to the ice and snow. Easier to pee in a bucket or cup and then toss the liquid out the window.

I do not have a child in school yet, but it makes me really glad to know that we have bus drivers of this caliber in our county and look forward to having you all drive my child in the coming years.

I don't. I hate snow.

Thank you, I may have to nip over there tomorrow.

Definitely not what I thought the content was going to be. I was thinking more about men lighting their gas on fire

Past reporting someone to DFACS for Fraud or Abuse, you cannot get a hold of them. I have tried. I do not know the reason for this other than to piss people off.
