WellStar Paulding Hospital Tour - March 6th

I honestly don't remember the name anymore. But you don't tell an first time expecting mother you don't have time to see her for 2-3 weeks when she is having cramping and to go the ER, when they know god damn well the ER does nothing for you. I called Dr. Kenner up in Cartersville, told them what was going on and they got me in immediately. I have stayed with this practice in Cartersville and love them. -
WellStar Paulding Hospital Tour - March 6th

Whoever denied it needs to be fired. 30-45 minutes to get to a facility is way way way way way way way way way way way way too far away. I have to choose either Kennestone - 30 minutes (the doctor that I had to go see there was a quack), Tanner - 45 minutes, or Cartersville Medical - 45 minutes. I live 5 minutes from Paulding Hospital, both of them. I have no really close options if things go wrong that day. -
Big hugs for all of you. I don't know how it is to lose a baby in utero, but if I were to lose mine, I would be devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and especially your daughter.

Have her call them or visit them tomorrow and ask. That way you can get a definitive answer. -

As far as I know she would lose it. But I would ask DOL, there might be a clause about such things. -

I will say this, I ran into the same issue last year from Oct-Feb including the raise, no issues, and no separation papers. Some companies just do this and I would not hesitate to guess they will not have her back. File for unemployment. -

Did you have to mention popcorn. Now I want popcorn.

I am sorry to hear you lost your job. Keep your head up, you are still employed for a couple more months and will be able to find something. If you need any help, please ask, I am around.

I can understand emergency, like running in and grabbing a box of tampons, a pregnancy test, milk, some sort of meds...but three cart fulls? No. I will agree with J'sMom though. Customer service skills were taught 10-15 years ago, but not now.

It was posted on the door that they walked through at eye level in big letters. If one is that blind, maybe one ought not even be driving. Not to mention it was well known in that particular community that Publix always closed at 11pm. It was the only grocery store.
-

We were not allowed to do that either.

One time, when I was working for Publix (2004) we had a customer come in 5 minutes before we closed at 11pm. We were not allowed to tell this customer that we were about to close. This customer stayed in our store until 1am filling up 3 shopping carts of groceries. At no time during their their blatant rudeness were we allowed to tell them we were closed, ask them if they needed help getting all of their groceries. I did not get home until almost 2am because of one rude-ass customer. I have/had no issue with people coming in 5 minutes till we close as long as they leave in a timely manne

Firehouse and Happynana, thank you for your suggestions of Wear me Again and Ross, I got some good things today.

No one in this thread, based solely on the comments in this thread, has questioned your integrity or motivation. As such, I still don't think it was a necessary comment. That particular comment was rude and unbecoming of anyone that would type it. If I may, and you probably don't want me to, offer a little pearl of wisdom from my mother. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all (in this case type). The other thing is even if you don't like someone, you should always be at the very least cordial.

Was your last sentence really necessary?

I live in Downtown Dallas. However, I just got a part-time job and was there for 11 hours today, so I didn't see your post until now. I am available all weekend as I don't know my schedule next week yet.

I do not go out and see movies. I will probably see The Tudors for the umpteenth time though
