Wages in most jobs are paying a lot lower now because we have a high unemployment rate (supply of available labor much higher than the demand for labor). It's a low skill job and the unemployment rate is high. You are absolutely correct. There is no need for the government to intervene. If anything, the government needs to stop over-regulating business and stop threatening to increase taxes. Income is down in this country because the available supply of labor is much greater than the demand. Once the demand for labor exceeds the supply of labor, wages will naturally increase.

I know quite a few parents who send their children to private school; my daughter and SIL are two of them. I know my grandchildren are doing quite well at theirs. When you work for an employer, the employer expects you to actually be working for him during the hours you are there. I've bee using the CPAP for two years as well. Six hours of sleep while wearing it is much better than 12 hours without it. Like you, I didn't dream for years.
