  1. As far as the environment goes, this is probably one of the worst locations for Tebow to land. He doesn't really fit into anyone's offensive plan, but you'll be hard-pressed to find a more dysfunctional organization than the Jets. Before he's even there, you have Antonio Cromartie tweeting about how they don't need Tebow. Mark Sanchez is already a fairly sensitive guy, so it's hard to imagine him handling it well when after he struggles, the New York chapter of Teboners start booing him and chanting "We want Tebow." Perhaps he should call Kyle Orton for advice. I'm not really sure how
  2. My girlfriend taught the kid in school about six years ago. She said he was a troubled kid with a very bad temper at that age, and it upsets her knowing that he has apparently not gotten any better since.
  3. No such luck. I do wedding videos and was just seeing if there were any local ones coming up that I did not know about.
  4. Anyone know of any weddings in the area that are set to take place within the next year?
  5. I am in the apartment complex at the moment. I heard what I am now told were gun shots over an hour or so ago. It sounded like someone letting off some firecrackers. I did not know anything was happening until I saw this thread and then looked outside to see four cop cars.
  6. Off of Cole Lake Road. Closer to the end that intersects with Scoggins.
  7. A new cross seems to pop up every day at the site of his accident. Just earlier I passed by numerous people who had gathered around it. R.I.P.
  8. I still cannot believe that fullback who likes to pretend to be a QB actually got picked in the first round. We'll see how far that great big heart of his carries him at this level. He is the definition of a work in progress, so it's pretty moronic to take him so early. The best thing for him would have been to go to a place where he could have learned from a veteran (Ex. Rogers learning under Favre in Green Bay). I don't see Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn being those guys. How long before he's on the sidelines crying because his team is not winning?
  9. The third Police Quest game was named after him. I used to love playing it when I was a teen.
  10. I thought the season was pretty good before, but these past two episodes have been two of the best back-to-back episodes that they've ever had. A strong finish could put it up there as one of the best. Props for them finally letting Jack get some. It's a shame that the girl didn't wasn't even dressed before getting killed, though.
  11. You sure represent that Big Ten complex towards the SEC very well. There is definitely some uncertainty about this hire, but only time will tell whether it is good or bad. Unlike Kiffin, Dooley isn't an idiot and won't consistently make the program look bad. He knows the region and can recruit, so we'll see what he can do. The main positive is that I might finally be able to respect a head coach at UT.
  12. Time will tell who one up'd who. Groh has the better recent resume at the college level, and Grantham has more recent experience at the pro level and will have better overall athletes to coach up.
  13. So of that will be up to Van Halenger. People have started to question his tactics as our S&C coordinator over the last year or so.
  14. After 44 days, the search is finally over. The dawgs new defensive coordinator will be current Dallas Cowboys d-line coach Todd Grantham. The great thing is that he brings a good bit of college and NFL experience to the table. This will actually be his first venture back to the college ranks since he was Michigan State's d-line/assistant head coach under Nick Saban in 1998. What was a little surprising was that he was given a three year deal for $750,000, which makes him the third highest paid coordinator in college football behind only Monte Kiffin and Will Muschamp. I'm not sure what in
  15. You call RichRod a moron, yet you seem to have overflowing respect for a guy who in a little over a year publicly accused another coach of committing a recruiting violation, pissed off two high school coaches by knocking where a player would end up if he did not come to UT or flat out insulting an athlete's school, and committed six minor NCAA violations. Who knows what kind of big mess he would have eventually gotten UT in with the NCAA. USC is already being looked at by the NCAA, and you can bet they aren't going away with Kiffin coming to town. I still don't see what the guy has done
  16. This is just too rich. I wonder if all the vol fans will continue to defend his frequent idiotic actions? Losing to that idiot might have been the lowest of all the low points for UGA throughout '09. I'll never like their overall fanbase or football team, but hopefully they will at least hire a head coach who I can at least somewhat respect. He had brought some excitement and press to the vol nation, but it was often following something dumb that he'd say. Vol fans actually thought there was a long-term strategy involved in that, huh? He's definitely a good coordinator, but I s
  17. Thanks a lot. Does it cost to do stuff at Mt. Tabor Park or is just open to anyone during operation hours?
  18. Aside from one at a high school, does anyone know of an indoor basketball court that is open to the public?
  19. How many of these incidents occurred during a large sporting event where thousands of fans were in the vicinity, and the police presence was a bit larger than usual?
  20. I originally attended the Paulding campus around ten years ago, and started going back at the Mountainview campus during the spring of this year. During all that time, I rarely ever remember really needing the book on the first day. You usually just go over the syllabus and maybe listen to the instructor tell you what the course will be like. You should be able to get what you need at the book store on Monday. If not, visit half.com, amazon.com, or ebay to find even better book deals.
  21. As mentioned, it is good to park at the Holmes station and take that to the dome. You don't have to worry about "packing an uzi" when going to a big sporting event like this. There will be many other fans and police officers all around you. I've been to numerous SEC Championship and bowl games at the dome, and have never seen any negative incident. The only thing I'd worry when bringing children is whether or not my seats were in the other team's section.
  22. Now it's being reported that he will just take a leave of absence and that their current OC Steve Adazzio will be their head coach until he returns. We'll see how this works out.
  23. A "special" about Urban Meyer? He's absolutely a good coach, but why on Earth does he deserve his own special? I haven't seen Bobby Bowden getting one of those, and he's been a major head coach for almost forty years and will leave as the second winningest coach.
  24. Sorry to hear about your loss. I experienced losing my dog of almost 16 years in April of '07. It was tough, but it wasn't nowhere near as sudden as yours. She was quite old and I saw it coming for months. I had to watch her continue to deteriorate from the playful, hyper dog that she had once been. Losing your beloved dog is never easy, but a big part of me wishes that my Goldie had passed away suddenly while she was still pretty active and didn't have various health issues. It sounds like your dog was still in pretty good shape, so you can take some joy in the fact that you won't have
  25. That's a definite possibility. In today's world, it's almost impossible to keep a story like that quiet for long. I thought about Spurrier, but I doubt that's the direction they'd want to go. I honestly think that Spurriers best coaching days are behind him, and the UF program would be taking a step down. It would certainly be funny if he did go there and get ran off campus like Ron Zook did, though.
