Your common techie is also a dawg fan since he or she knows that they have the best shot at winning a championship, especially as long as tech continues to run that gimmicky high school offense. Most techies hope that Richt leaves UGA, whereas any real dawg fan hopes that Paul Johnson stays at Georgia Tech forever. You obviously close your ears following a Georgia Tech home loss if you think jacket fans are never rude and ugly to opposing fans. The dawgs win at Grant Field, and all you hear when walking by the frat houses are groups of little poindexters screaming "rednecks" or the cla

Ahh, so there's two of you, yet both have dogs in their screen name. Interesting. Hopefully all of this Tiger support is still as rampant when they take a bit of nosedive in the coming weeks. He's the one who started the thread talking smack, yet we're the big mouths? Congrats again on needing your backup quarterback to have a late rally to beat a team that was missing a good portion of their primary playmakers on offense, but of course any mention of that fact comes off as mere excuses to you tiger fans. So starved for just a wee bit of attention, you are.

Thin skinned for calling you out for jumping back and forth between two teams? You're a Missouri fan if they beat the dawgs, but if not, it's ok since you can always pretend to be a dawg fan, huh? That's just lame. Your whole original post was talking trash. 6-0 after largely playing nobody prior to Saturday. Since when did Indiana become a tough Big Ten opponent? Perhaps you thought you were looking at the basketball schedule. On the other hand, the dawgs had a brutal opening month, and have more than paid the price for it on the injury front. Missouri plays one tough opponen

No way I'm believing that you actually believed the tigers would win in Athens when you saw the dawgs beat South Carolina and LSU. You started getting more confident when you saw Marshall, Bennett, and Wesley drop against Tennessee. You knew that them along with Gurley being out might put too much pressure on the bulldog offense to keep up with Missouri's offense if the UGA defense continued to suck. The dawgs won last year because Aaron stepped up late and Jarvis Jones was a beast on defense and helped setup two of our late touchdowns. You all did not even have to face Sanders Cummings

You can only have so much depth with 85 scholarships. No team (Even Bama) is going to suffer the setbacks that the dawgs have suffered on offense through the first six games and continue to hum as though nothing happened. The dawgs lost their most talented WR and deep threat Malcom Mitchell against Clemson, but it had not affected them thus far since Justin Scott-Wesley had stepped up and became one of the more explosive WR's in the conference. Well, now he is done for the year and the dawgs are having to rely on true freshman Reggie Davis whose main action prior to Saturday was catching a

You also never won that conference and were usually just looking up at the likes of Oklahoma and Texas, hence why nobody exactly fears the Tigers. That also explains why you act like the little brother who finally beats big brother in a game of one-on-one. The SEC natives think that way because it is true. Just because the Tigers finally won a big game does not automatically vault them to the top tier of the conference. Wait, you talk trash about the dawgs and knock the SEC, yet you still claim to like them? That's pretty lame and will make it tough to really take you seriously

Sympathy is not required, but not acting like a total d-bag would be nice. The dawgs beat the tigers last year, and I didn't really consider it all that big of a deal. I guess that is the difference in our fans and tiger fans whose biggest glory is probably winning the Big 12 North. I don't recall the tigers being all banged up when we played them last season so chances are you did not hear that talk from dawg fans, so why act like a tool towards us? Is it because you know that this is as good as it will get for the tigers?

Franklin was in there for most of the game, so it's not quite the same as the dawgs playing sixty minutes without their top two RB's and three of Murray's favorite targets on the bench. Although the offense played about as well as they could considering Aaron was having to throw to several guys (Blake Tibbs, Reggie Davis, Michael Erdman) who have barely seen any action thus far. I want to believe the ground game would have faired a ton better with Todd Gurley in there, but it's not like they were non-existent with JJ Green and Brendon Douglas (Both freshmen) carrying the rock. Defense is

Way to act like you've actually won a big game before. Have you, though? I don't recall anyone saying that Missouri was going to be a pre-season pushover when they joined the SEC, although not even the biggest Tiger homer saw them being atop the SEC East at this point. Enjoy it, because there is no way they go anywhere without Franklin for the next few weeks. I mean the dawgs were able to get 26 points and around 450 yards of offense without their main two RB's and three of their top WR's out, so it's hard to see the Missouri defense picking up the slack when their offense takes a step

The Falcons ain't looking too good in pre-season
Jonger replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I normally do not care about the pre-season, but it definitely is a little concerning when the first team offense (Minus Roddy) can't even get into the endzone in the first half against an average at best Titan defense. Sure, they haven't really opened the playbook, but neither have the Titans, yet I saw Jake Locker make a few good drives and actually look like an NFL quarterback against the defense. It's still just the pre-season, though. I can't remember a Falcon pre-season where I've felt like I was watching a serious conference championship contender. I mean the Lions went 4-0 durin -
Does anyone own one of these? If so, do you like it? Any information about your experience will be helpful. Thanks.

I was so shocked to hear this. He's my all-time favorite TV show character on what I think was the best show ever on TV. That show helped paved the way for all of these other huge cable shows that you now have. As mentioned, I had also held out small hope that we might one day see a movie that would give us a little resolution to that questionable ending, but that's obviously gone. R.I.P.

It was cool that they sang Sweet Caroline at Yankee Stadium last night. They also did it a Turner Field. Great gesture towards the people of Boston.

Great start. I can't wait to hear all the naysayers on 92.9 who continued to be negative about the team despite the fact that they had opened winning 8 out of 9. All you heard was about how they had played nobody and how the real test would come against the nats. Well, if the nats are among the best that the braves will face, then I think they will just be fine in 2013. Starting with that late comeback on Friday night, they dominated this series and truly look like the best team in baseball despite still being without several key players.

I was happy to hear this. Part of me initially wanted them to draft a running back, but after seeing how Flacco's contract has handicapped the Ravens, I have a feeling that this year could be the Falcons best shot at winning the Super Bowl before Ryan also gets a huge contract. In that case, go with the proven guy instead of hoping that you land a good one via the draft. Jackson definitely has some miles on him, but I like his overall game better than what Michael Turner brought, so he should be a welcomed addition to the offense. The guy has pretty much had to do it alone throughout his c

As an eleven-year-old kid, that was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen. Everyone was excited at school that Friday since the forecast was calling for a good bit of snow, but I figured we'd just get the usual light dusting that would be mostly gone by the time the sun came out Saturday afternoon. Imagine my shock when I went out at around 6 AM the following morning to bring in my dog. The usual easy walk to the backyard took a bit longer than usual since the snow was fairly deep and the wind was still blowing pretty hard. It sucked that we were without power for about a day and a

21 Jump Street if you want a great laugh. Magic Mike if you're a female looking for eye candy. Dear John or The Vow if you want a love story. Stop-Loss if you want a good post-war drama.

He'd get drafted, but at this point, I think he'd be doing great to go in the 3rd round. There's nothing exceptional about his size or coverage skills, and NFL teams don't typically spend first round draft picks on guys who mainly stand-out on special teams. In order to make his draft stock rise, he desperately needs to find a way to stay at the 1-A level. Going to a place like McNeese State would do nothing in regards to that. I'm sure they'd LOVE to have him, though.

It's always great when you see bad things happen to genuinely bad people. Now I can actually start having respect for Arkansas football again. It's so sad going to an Arkansas message board and seeing their fans alibi and make excuses for his past behavior. So many of them have actually convinced themselves that Louisville and Atlanta were the ones who gave him a raw deal. I have to give props to Jeff Long for making this tough decision. He had Arkansas headed down a path that could have had them being as competitive as they've been since joining the conference, but he was able to

Computer tough guy? Lol, says the clown who comes on here beating his chest about the amount of Joe Theismann's that he supposedly made. I bet you were the guy who only went in during mop-up duty and then did his best to cripple someone so that the starters might consider inviting him to the party. Your dribble is as embarrassing as Kellen Winslow's "I'm a f-ing soldier!" rant.

I come from a football state, and the BS that you've spewed in this thread is pretty asinine. The fact that you seem to take pride in taking out someone's knee or leg is pretty sick and tells me that you were probably a player who was either too frail or cowardly to really go toe-to-toe with someone, so you had to resort to going low.

Not sensitive at all. Just wondering why you felt the need to be a douche. Now I'm just wondering if you were born that way or chose to become one. As far as the bounty, it does not matter whether or not the shots were dirty or not. That was never the point. Although if you watch the video of their playoff game with the Vikings, you can clearly see DE Bobby McCray going for Favre's knees on this one play. He was actually fined after the game for two late hits, so obviously not all of these hits were clean. Dirtiness aside, the main reason why Sean Payton is suspended is because h

My bulldog? WTF? Pardon me sir, your lack of reading and comprehension is showing because I don't recall saying anything about players needing to back off on hitting so hard. Try again...
-
Trying to purposely injure someone is not football. Injuries are a part of the game, but most civilized professional football players are not going to back being given an extra incentive to cause a quarterback to be carted off the field. Causing injury on a clean hit when you are just merely doing your job is perfectly fine. Causing injury because you were motivated by your DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR offering you extra incentive is nothing but wrong. I hope you are never in any kind of coaching capacity if you cannot see the wrong in this.

Sean Peyton's suspension is absolutely not uncalled for considering that he was warned about putting a stop to this two years ago, yet he chose to ignore the commissioner and allow this to continue. Gregg Williams was at the forefront of this and IMO should never be allowed to coach in this league again, but Peyton also deserves to take a hit considering that he allowed it to happen. He messed up by not having better control over what goes on in his locker room and by not being upfront with the commish. As a defender, you are definitely taught to put a big hit on the opposing player, but
