You are a good mama. I brought up the subject of letting or not letting children walk to school on FB the other day. Just like any other time I share my views on kids being unsupervised, about half the people thought I was over reacting and not letting my children "experience the real world". Pfft. Im not even going to get started. This could be a family member and most likely was if he abused her for 8 years. At least one other adult, probably more, knew about it and did nothing. You cannot just go to the Courthouse and get a restraining order and you cannot have one served based on "I feel like..." or "I'm worried they might...". You also have to sit before a Judge(not a hearing- thats later)and swear that you are telling the truth if you DO have some sort of history(even one episode) where a TPO is appropriate. They make it very clear to you that if what you are saying isnt factual or if you are just trying to distance yourself from someone, etc., it is punishable by law and it is a very serious claim against another person. I think thats right. The law really gives more protection to the Tenant than the Landlord in this case.

I used to know the law exactly but I believe it has changed since then. I DO know that if you have a verbal agreement as a lease, it can be held up in court. However, if he is paying or has paid late, that could break the lease. There is a 30 day rule still. I would definitely get the law in writing and give him notice asap. ...and truly, if he is free loading, I seriously doubt he can afford an attorney to sue you.

I think I was the one who mentioned her. I love her and I helped her(or tried to)every time I saw her when I lived in Paulding, even if it was just a ride or a couple of dollars. That is such good news, especially after such serious conditions. Stroke AND an annurism- it is a miracle she is alive and even more that she is improving so much. We will keep praying.

You are right about talking to God and questioing Him directly. I have heard it said and preached my entire life that Job never said an ill word to God. When we read the WHOLE story, he CLEARLY did!
