Got a call from the owner of my old trash company
Magic Mommy replied to Gone's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My new company (JT) said she'd had competing bids from both A & WI in the past year. We had a lengthy conversation about this situation. This is her family's business. Both she and her husband's sole source of income. They are the company, along with two other people who have been with them from the start. They're based near Ceadertown and service a large area. They come early, they're quiet enough for the kids to sleep through, and they don't speed through my neighborhood. Going into my third month and am still happy. There is also another local company that services my neighb -
Prayers for your coworker's family. Prayers for complete recovery.

I just hung up with customer service at WF and got clarification on the fee that begins in October. I told the lady I want to avoid the fee completely. Here are her suggestions: *If you pay bills online with a debit card, sign up for the free billpay. (They'll talk you through it) No fee for using this service, even after October 2011. *No fees EVER for using WF ATM's. If you can, take out the cash and use the cash. (I do that now, take out cash, pay the phone bill, redeposit change at the ATM. They do take single dollars, lol) *You will only get charged a one-time $3.00

Wow, you all must be mind readers. Yesterday with the trash thread and today with this. I was wondering if I was the only one starting to buy already. We're five people, 3 of us under the age of ten, so you can imagine that's a big holiday around here. With what we actually earn, I'd never be able to get them what they want. But with layaways and buying one thing a week, I can get there! In fact, the family gift everyone wants is a PS3 so I'm already looking...(I visit pawnshops and places like "Anything Joe's" for bargins on electronics)

Thanks! (Duh) Hubby's check is direct deposit, but I always visit the teller. I WILL be checking in with them this afternoon about the debit fee rumor, though.

Don't forget about the floating fee for "overdraft protection". Last November, they had to move 25.00 from savings to checking because of a 1.00 overdraft. Cool, that's what I had way to save for. SURPRISE! Where Wachoiva's way to save was free, Wells Fargo charged a $10.00 fee for moving my money. Last week, happened again (over .17 cents) and they moved money, this time charging me $12.50 BOTH times I had to go to my branch manager and get it fixed since the people over the phone are useless. Seriously, that's what they told me: "We can't help you over the phone. There's nothing we c

Got a call from the owner of my old trash company

They picked mine up the following week. I was also wondering if the big companies kept their promise to keep the local employees from the companies that were bought out. They did mention it in the buyout letter (A) sent me, but I've noticed that though the truck comes the same day, there seems to be new faces. Just hoping people kept their jobs. -

I did too. I pay seven dollars a month more then the price WI and A offered me. But I pay it to local owners, with local employees. I felt like it was the right thing to do. And with the gas prices and dump fees, I don't mind paying a few dollars more to keep my neighbors in business. When I fired the company from Virgina (A), I told them why. They gave me a line about the $20 fee and I shot it down. Never heard back, and love my new company!! (J.T.) -
I tried to give a positive point to a post and got a message I have reached my quota for the day. ?? This was my FIRST point this morning. Is it left over from yesterday? I haven't logged on p.com in more then 12 hours until just 15 mins ago. When does it reset? Sometimes, I don't have anything to add but want to agree and giving a point is how I do it. (I do know enough that you only get 10 in one day, but I didn't know it carried over to the next day) Thanks in advance!!

Exactly!!! It's so they're right either way! Still hoping it'll hit, not miss...

I never trust Karen. WSB's new state of the art doppler seems like an expensive piece of junk. The mornings are the most wrong, at least from what hubby and I notice. Not that any of them are going to be right a 100%...I get more accurate weather reports from p.com then I do anywhere else. At any rate, Joanne on FOX 5 said later this afternoon and evening, if the atmosphere remains unstable, and then hit or miss.

Same thing happened to me at home recently...stereo came on at midnight (we're all asleep) playing a specific song. Hubby came downstairs and found nothing, unplugged stereo, came back to bed. Next day, while I was alone in the house, stereo came on again, same song (October by U2). It scared the fool out of me because it came on loud, really loud. I got over the chills and went to check it out, only to find the stereo was still unplugged. FREAKED me out. I never noticed any creepy stuff around here before that. I've been here 7 years in Nov. Since then, I hear creepy noises once in a

GREAT idea! New moms don't usually have much extra money, and this is a gift a newborn won't outgrow in a month!

Invitation to groundbreaking for new film studio
Magic Mommy replied to FreeBird's topic in Paulding County NEWS
You are right about the fact that the facitlity can be used for SO much more then a movie...Local businesses want to advertise on local TV. In my former life, I had experience in TV advertising. Since I've been at home, I've had three neighbors approach me about how to make a commercial and get it on air. I did the local research for them and provided a list of companies who would give them quotes. None of them got a commercial made because it was too expensive. For one of them, I did do a storyboard and had my people from out of state come in with their equipment and do it for less then -
I have had issues, had the tech come out, the whole nine yards. Because of what I've gone through, I have a few suggestions. First of all, I have ONLY internet, so there is no other signal to get in the way. I have the modem plugged in at the outlet that is directly opposite of the comcast box attached to my house. This is the strongest outlet for the best signal. Since I refuse to pay the outragous cable-TV fees, I get my TV through the internet and it shows up via my gaming systems. Right now, it's all free, but when the trial is over, I will pay 6.00 a month. There is a plan for

The Dallas store is PACKED all the time now that the Hiram store closed. I'm hating the total store reset right now too, but (since I worked for them for 22 yrs) I think it looks like that are expanding some set and adding in some new runs to allow for more products and variety. It's just going to take awhile to get used to. Papi and I try not to go on saturdays for all the reasons you mentioned above. We go on Sundays before church lets out. It's a little less crowded. It was kinda of strange riding by the Hiram store yesterday and seeing it be torn down. I helped open that store.

(refering to earlier post about flashing yellow on Rosedale) Regardless of the law, I ALWAYS slow at the flashing yellow on Rosedale. And if there's a biker present, waiting to cross, I'm the one who holds up traffic for them to make it safely. And everytime I do it, the cars behind me and coming from the opposite direction do it too. I don't do it to make others mad, I do it because I like to ride my bike there too and I know how scary it can be to cross that road. Especially with small kids trying to cross with their bikes. (I don't take them there anymore...) And while you have

LOVE Dr. Vera! He delivered two of my three and will deliver all of my future babies (if there are any...) I chose him because he's not a baby mill-meaning you go to the office to see him every month, but only see him once or twice and end up seeing a practioner or an intern. Then you get to the hospital and a total stranger (an on-call doc from the practice) is the one to deliver your bundle of joy. For me, it was bad enough having one stranger poking around up there, but a different stranger each visit and who knows on delivery? No thanks! Congrats on the new one and RELAX

I haven't had a land line in my home since 2005. I pay no fee for not having it. I've never had an issue with not having one...unless I'm late on the cell phone. Then. it's only a matter of hours before I'm talking again...
