I do not believe we ever recovered from the recession, but I believe things are going to get worse. As far as planning...... I am attempting to make some extra money now so that I can "stock up" on essentials. I will go about it the way alot of people did for Y2K. There will be non-perishable food, OTC meds and first aid supplies and lots of water. I am not trying to be a fear monger but I believe that it will not be long before the essentials can not be afforded (and in some cases, not be available). Another concern is making sure that my son and my nieces and nephew have Christ

We go there often for things other than gas. The last few times the owner has not been his friendly little self. I was wondering if he was about to close. Then yesterday I saw he dropped the gas price a dime cheaper than QT and it almost confirmed my feeling. Edited to add....that I hope I am wrong. He is a nice man and I would hate to see him close.

I just looked at a brochure on Paulding County and got a good laugh. Am I the only one who thinks it is funny that our county administrators last name is " Crook"?

I have not been to this particular area but have some advice to offer. Call the Chamber of Commerce for that area and ask them to send you a visitors guide for the local area. You will find most of the information you are looking for and often times get coupons as well.

DO NOT pay one penny to these people. As previously stated, the SOL has expired. They are trying to scare you into paying. If you pay even one cent you are agreeing that you owe the debt. Been there....done that.

That's a different story. I know people who could not work for the census bureau because they owed taxes. The rules for office should be just as tough, if not tougher. As far as making "arrangements" usually the state just puts a lien on you.

I do not know her personal story but from my experience these reports are not always accurate. The last time somebody posted a list on here from people in the area that owed money my name and previous business were listed. I did not owe the money, the debt was paid years earlier. Just last month I received a letter from the state stating...."Debt paid in full." Sometimes the list is not accurate.

This is not being rude, I understand this. I do B2B sales to local companies and I know how to take no for an answer. If someone says no, I thank them for their time and move on. There is no need to waste their time and mine. Sales is a job, sometimes you do it in person, sometimes on the phone and other times thru the web. No means no and move on.

FYI, telemarketers are people too.
